 | At my highest weight, I was 343 lbs. I realized I was headed towards 350. In my mid 40's at the time, I was suffering from border line hypertension, high cholesterol, atrial fibrillation, incontinence, and obstructive sleep apnea not to mention the pain in my knees trying to support all that weight. After a particular traumatic bout with a-fib, my cardiologist recommended that I have gastric bypass surgery to lose weight, which would probably help. He also gave me the name of a surgeon, Dr. Terrence Fullum. I was terrified of having surgery. So I waited about two years and lo and behold a co-worker of mine had the surgery done. When I asked her who her doctor was, she told me. Dr. Terrence Fullum. OK, I am a very spiritual person, and I knew at that point that GOD was telling me something. So I made an appointment to go to one of Dr. Fullum's seminars. The way Dr. Fullum did his presentation answered all of my questions and calmed all my fears. Well, on the morning of September 6, 2006, Dr. Fullum and his skilled team performed the surgery that changed my life. Two and a half years later, I am maintaining my weight at around 180 lbs.! I have gone from a size 32 down to a size 10/12 and I am loving it! GOD and life are soooooo good!
