As a psychotherapist, I believe healing occurs from within. Through alternative modes of therapy, I help facilitate self-exploration, leading to personal healing and growth. Personal growth develops in a safe, encouraging environment when clients give themselves permission and the opportunity to explore their total emotional being. Where there is a non-judgmental atmosphere, the client is able to experience thoughts and feelings that may not have been otherwise expressed through traditional talk therapy. These experiences are always centered on client comfort. Through creative insight, making the unknown known as well as understood; personal growth and healing can begin.
I work in non-traditional expressive therapies. I do not employ talk therapy alone. Of course, I do talk to my clients, however I incorporate expressive elements of alternative therapies within the client's level of comfort to help facilitate the therapeutic process.
I am proficient in ASL and able to provide therapy to deaf clients without the use of an interpreter. |
