An inside interview with LocateADoc.com
What is your charity organization of choice and why?
Every year, I join the sixty-five member Virginia Hospital Center Medical Brigade as a reconstructive surgeon for an annual medical mission trip to Comayagua, Honduras, to bring primary care, surgical, eye care, and physical therapy to this under served part of the world.
What does living in the Reston community mean to you?
I live in McLean, VA, where I was born and grew up. Aside from all of my college, medical school, and training in New Haven and Charlottesville, I have been in Northern Virginia my entire life and love it here -- it is my home. My practice has offices in Arlington and Reston.
What makes your specialties the right fields of medicine for you?
I have a passion for what reconstructive surgery can do for people, and a special interest in breast surgery. I believe I offer a woman’s touch, a woman’s understanding, and a wealth of experience to cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery in Northern Virginia.
What is your favorite procedure to perform and why?
Since I have a special passion for reconstructive surgery, some of the most rewarding experiences have been from reconstructing breasts for women who have had radical mastectomies as the result of breast cancer.
