The most important thing to understand about eyelid surgery is that it's not just about taking out some skin and fat from the eyelids. In the upper eyelid, it is important to correct any eyelid droop (ptosis) that exists. In the lower eyelids, many patients need to have the muscle of the eyelid pulled up at the same time so that the end result is more youthful rather than hollow. Josh Korman, M.D. is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and has been a member of the clinical faculty of Stanford University for fifteen years. He is also a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the California Society of Plastic Surgery.
He has received national attention for his use of lasers in plastic surgery and for body lift surgery. He has been featured on 20/20, CNN, The New York Times, The San Jose Mercury News, Gentry Magazine, and The Metro. Dr. Korman works as a volunteer physician in developing countries with Interplast and served on its Board of Directors.
