An inside interview with LocateADoc.com
Describe the most rewarding experience that you have had working with a patient?
There are so many. I am rewarded and humbled at least every day. I recall running into a woman for whom I had done breast reconstruction many years before, after she had a double mstectomy. She was very gracious and thanked me for my prior efforts. But what stuck with me most was when she said my reconstruction "Made her feel like a woman again".
What is your charity organization of choice and why?
Breast Cancer Connections. This is a local organization which helps breast cancer patients and their families get the information and support they need.
What is your favorite quote or saying?
"It's kind of fun to do the impossible."
Walt Disney
What makes your specialties the right fields of medicine for you?
My tendency to be a perfectionist is an asset in Plastic Surgery.
What is your favorite procedure to perform and why?
Facelift. I love being able to "turn back the years" and see someone as they would want to be again.
What procedure would you like to do more of and why?
Liquid facelift with Botox and Juvederm and Restylane injections. I like seeing the immediate improvement.
In a perfect world, when would you like to retire, where would you go and what would you do?
In a perfect world, I would never retire, but I would have a four day weekend.
