Dr. Jo-Ann H. Bird is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Board Certified Clinical Sexologist and relationship expert providing therapy and coaching services in the Tampa Bay area.  She received her Doctorate from The American Academy of Clinical Sexologists at Maimonides University, Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from University of South Florida.  Dr. Bird's coach training is from The Institute for Life Coach Training.  She is a Diplomate and Supervisor of the American Board of Sexology and a Qualified Supervisor with the State of Florida.  Dr. Bird is also a Faculty Advisor with The American Academy of Clinical Sexologists, a member of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) and is an Adjunct Professor at Hillsborough Community College.  

"I provide individual therapy to adults that are struggling with depression, anxiety disorders/panic attacks, grief/loss issues, and other life/relationship issues.  I enjoy teaching individuals empowerment and assertiveness skills. 

As a Clinical Sexologist and Certified Sex Therapist, I  assist individuals and couples, of any sexual orientation or gender that have questions or concerns regarding their sexual functioning, overall sexuality, and sexual expression.  Some of the areas I address are desire and arousal dysfunctions, dysfunctional sexual problems, erectile dysfunction, orgasmic dysfunctions, rapid ejaculation, sexual abuse/trauma issues, sexual behavior problems including sexual compulsivity (or addiction), sexual education, and sexual pain disorders.  In addition, I help individuals and couples who just want to enhance their sex lives."
