It's no surprise that, besides enjoying a thriving medical practice for the past 20 years, Dr. Roxana Barad founded the Aesthetic Laser Center & Medi-Spa to help people who struggle with skin problems associated with acne, aging skin, imperfect complexions, unwanted hair, tattoos and hormones. Her interest in aesthetics goes way back to her childhood.
Roxana Barad, MD is a board certified physician and oculoplastic surgeon. She attended medical school at Albany Medical College, followed by internship at Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. She completed her residency in ophthalmology at the prestigious Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, then fellowship training at Harvard. With over 20 years of experience using Botox®, lasers and permanent cosmetics in treating her eye patients, adding the Aesthetic Laser Center and Medi-Spa to her practice was a natural extension.
Dr. Barad personally sees every skin rejuvenation client and is known for her artistic eye and superior skills. She has treated thousands of patients and is particularly interested in a holistic approach to aesthetics. She is one of the few aesthetic physicians in Pennsylvania applying a holistic approach to her practice.

Recognized in the industry for her skills, Dr. Barad has been selected by manufacturers to train other physicians and medical professionals in the aesthetic use of Botox®, Restylane®, Juvederm® and Sculptra®. She has trained over 100 physicians from all over the United States and has treated many of them for their own personal aesthetic concerns.
Dr. Barad is a fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. She is a member of the Allegheny County Medical Society and the Pennsylvania Medical Society.
