The Titan Procedure
Approx Cost with this Doctor:
Contact Office Physician's Approach:
Although the Titan procedure and Thermage has been scientifically proven to tighten skin, the cosmetic surgeon does not have any control over how tight they can get the skin. During National Meetings, where they show before and after photos of the non-surgical skin tightening procedures, it is very difficult to determine which is before and which is after. This goes against Dr. Yang's <10% improvement rule. Titan costs $3-5000 which comparable to a mini-face lift, but with even less results.

George C. Yang, MD - Applies Consultation Fee Toward Surgery!
Trust Your Face to New York City's Facelift & Necklift Specialist
Manhattan Facelift Specialist, Dr. George C. Yang performed 200+ face lifts last year. His signature procedure is the rapid recovery Millennium Lift™ (Face Lift New York) designed to treat the sagging neck and jowls in healthy non-smoking Baby Boomers with an active lifestyle. The patient has a choice ranging from twilight sedation to no sedation using local anesthesia only (like at the dentist). The Millennium Lift™ (Face Lift New York) is more than a mini-facelift and less than a full facelift. It is the "Goldilocks" of facelifts. Not too little, and not too much. It is performed under local anesthesia like a mini-facelift, but takes more time to perform the extra neck work to get the neck result from a full face and necklift.
Why modify the mini-facelift? Patients like the option of avoiding general anesthesia; however, the main complaint in Dr. Yang's experience of patients who have had mini-facelifts is that the neck profile does not change much with a mini-lift and the initial improvement immediately after the procedure usually falls after 1-2 months. Although Dr. Yang does offer mini-facelifts, most of the patients that come for a mini-facelift consultation have complaints of both neck and jawline sagging, so a mini-facelift would not give them the improvement that they are looking for. The Millennium Lift™ (Face Lift New York) avoids all of the risks and side effects that can come with general anesthesia (cardiac risk, nausea/vomiting, prolonged weakness for a week, etc.) Millennium Lift™ (Face Lift New York) recovery can be as short as 1-2 weeks to look presentable in public, and about a month to look great for social events. Dr. Yang observed that the recovery for his patients who had a mini-face lift compared to the Millennium Lift™ (Face Lift New York) had similar recovery times, yet had a much better improvement in the neck profile and jawline as compared to the mini-face lifts alone. This is why the Millennium Lift™ (Face Lift New York) includes a proper necklift (liposuction and/or platysmaplasty) as part of the procedure.
The Millennium Lift™ (Face Lift New York) can be combined with Eyelid surgery, Endoscopic Browlift, Endoscopic Mid-Face lift, Fat grafting to the cheeks, upper and lower eyelids, smile lines and frown lines, and chin implants for an even more dramatic improvement. However, with each additional procedure comes additional anesthesia, recovery time and risk. Most people who have been to a New York facelift consultation, are told that they should also have everything else, otherwise the face will not match. Many Baby Boomers who have an active lifestyle or are still working may want this additional improvement (brows and cheeks), they may not be willing to recover beyond a certain amount of time, and thus choose to "restore" a specific area (neck and jowls, and/or eyelids) and not bother with the other procedures. Contact Dr. Yang for his explanation of why less is sometimes more, when it comes to a natural appearing facial rejuvenation. Click here for Dr. Yang's pledge to the patient and explanation of Dr. Yang's 10% rule when deciding on whether or not to have a facial procedure (Face Lift New York).
Anda had a Millennium Lift™ (Face Lift New York) with Upper eyelid surgery with fat grafting to the Left Upper Eyelid Hollowing. Visit Dr. Yang's Before and After Pictures for more views of her face lift, and close-ups of her eyelids and more detailed explanations about his approach to eyelid rejuvenation with fat grafting.
Dr. Yang has a "10% improvement rule" on whether or not he recommends any facial procedure. Remember this statement: if there is too little improvement (<10% improvement), too much risk, or too much recovery, then that facial procedure may not be your best option, especially for someone who has an active lifestyle and still working. This is particularly true if that facial area doesn't even bother the patient.
Dr. Yang performed 200+ face lifts last year and has the experience to determine whether or not you are a good candidate for a facial rejuvenation procedure. By staying true to this philosophy, frequently the laundry list of procedures that the patient comes in to ask about gets whittled down to only the procedures that will give you the best improvement.
Why use this philosophy? How many of your friends who had a full face lift with eyelids and browlift, tell you that although they like certain parts of the results, but they felt that other parts of their face essentially look the same (<10% improvement.) Although they are happy overall, was it really worth spending the extra 3-7K for the procedures that gave <10% improvement? Instead of the lower eyelid surgery or browlift, maybe they would have gotten a better result with a skin resurfacing procedure that the surgeon doesn't offer. With the money saved by not doing those low yield procedures, a cosmetic dermatologist with different skill set in procedures can be considered.
Dr. Yang's goal is to help the people he meets and provide his patients the highest quality medical care and most natural facial rejuvenation possible. There are some people who want a Joan Rivers type of facial rejuvenation and if they don't get that type of result they will be unhappy. Dr. Yang believes that most in the Tri-State area are people looking for facial rejuvenation that is as natural as possible with no obvious signs that work was performed. In California, a slightly more plastic result may be desired. If patient wanted that type of result, an expert facelift surgeon other than Dr. Yang would match up better with this patient by their aesthetic taste and philosophy, and Dr. Yang would be the first to help that patient make a list of these expert facelift surgeons to meet.
During a consultation, Dr. Yang will discuss the Pro's and Con's of any specialty face lifts that you are interested in (mini-face lift, S lift face lift, MACS face lift, weekend facelifts, one hour facelifts, lunchtime lifts, Contour Threadlift face lift, Feather lift face lift, non-surgical face lift, minimally invasive facelift, Composite face lift, Triplanar face lift, Endoscopic face lift, facial implants, Erb/YAG or CO2 Laser Skin resurfacing, Phenol or TCA chemical peels, Fraxel, Titan or Thermage, etc.) Dr. Yang will also explain why he does not offer or perform some of these procedures and why.
Dr. Yang combined the best aspects of different face lift techniques to develop the Millennium Lift™ (Face Lift New York) in order to provide: 1) lower risk for facial nerve injury, 2) longevity of the facelift result by performing a modified deep plane face lift, 3) combined with the benefits of fat grafting to complement the facelift procedure, while 4) limiting the procedure in other areas of the face which would significantly increase recovery time for active or working patients who what a rapid recovery comparable to a mini-face lift.
All potential patients should understand that that advice and expert recommendations given by cosmetic surgeon/dermatologists will be biased towards the array of procedures that they offer, versus the techniques that they don't perform. This is true no matter how honest the cosmetic surgeon is.
Of course, they want to be chosen. Dr. Yang will explain his concerns for certain techniques and why he doesn't or rarely does them. He will openly offer names of best expert plastic surgeons known for these same procedures so the the potential patient can have a consultation with them to understand and see the types of results that the other expert surgeons provide. This way the potential patient can hear different recommendations, pricing, and results. The patient is the boss, it's their face, and if another expert surgeon that Dr. Yang helped the patient to find, will make them happy, then at least he contributed.
Dr. Yang's clientele are mainly from the working upper middle class, where too much downtime from a facelift procedure would cost them two-fold, the cost of the procedure as well as lost income from a prolonged recovery. Dr. Yang word of mouth referrals come from the middle-class, so in order not to price out these referrals, Dr. Yang's surgeons fees are only slightly above the National Average, which makes it significantly more affordable than typical Manhattan, Long Island, Westchester, and even New Jersey prices.
Every face lift surgeon has different training and a different artistic eye, so it is in your best interest to consult with at least 3 board certified plastic or facial plastic surgeons before choosing the face lift surgeon who is the best match for you. If you were buying a new car, you would test drive at least more than one car or do a lot of research, instead of buying the first car that the dealer tries to sell you. The Internet is a great resource for comparing plastic surgeons' credentials, philosophy and their results; however, it can be difficult to find a handful of surgeons in your area to compare. The first place you can start is on LocateADoc, where I encourage you to look and compare.
