Dr. Mann’s interest in vein disease was sparked during his cardiovascular fellowship. While performing heart bypass surgery, during the harvesting (removing) of the patients’ leg veins for heart surgery, he sometimes had difficulty in removing the leg veins. He observed that many of the veins were varicose and began to notice that a great number of patients had a tremendous amount of vein disease. Since then Dr. Mann has specialized exclusively in venous diseases and is committed to improving the quality of life of individuals with vein problems.
