In addition, Dr. Downs has appeared on several television and radio talk shows as an expert in the field of plastic surgery, and is active in the Elkhart County Medical Society, currently serving as its secretary and treasurer. He is also on the board of directors for the Indiana State Medical Association and served as president of ISMA from 2003 to 2004.
