Dry Eye Therapy

Dry eyes are a common but very annoying problem. Treatments include tear supplements, drops to alter the quality of your tears (Restasis) or punctal plugs. The latter treatment is easily done in the office and allows the tears you do have to remain on the eye longer. Use of these therapies, sometimes combined, should improve your eye comfort or allow you to remain in contact lenses. Those who still have problems with contacts may want to consider LASIK vision correction.

Yag Laser Capsulotomy Post Cataract Surgery

This is a quick laser procedure for secondary cataracts. A secondary cataract occurs up to 10% of the time after cataract surgery and is caused by a clouding of the membrane behind the lens implant. If you experience a gradual decrease in vision after cataract surgery, be sure to come in so we can see what the problem is. The laser is easily tolerated and, as noted above, very quick.
