Dr. Jani is board certified in ophthalmology through the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Jani specializes in Laser Vision Correction Surgery (Lasik/PRK), Custom Cataract Surgery, Corneal Transplantation, Glaucoma, and Diabetic Eye Care as well as Ophthalmic Plastics.
Dr. Jani received his medical education in an accelerated BA/MD program at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. After interning at the University of Pennsylvania’s Presbyterian Medical Center, Dr. Jani completed his residency at Case Western Reserve University in Ohio. He further trained in Corneal and External Disease, and Refractive Surgery in one of the top fellowships in the country at the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
He currently serves as an assistant clinical professor in the department of ophthalmology at the MCV/VCU Health system. Dr. Jani is a Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the International Society of Refractive Surgery. He has written several papers, which have been published in the American Journal of Ophthalmology, the Contact Lens Associates of Ophthalmologist Journal, Cornea, and Ophthalmology. |
