Dr. Patrick Spencer and everyone here at Dayton Vision Center is dedicated to providing you with the highest level of eye care. You will receive our full attention! Dr. Spencer is an ophthalmologist, a physician (Medical Doctor) who is a specialist in the medical and surgical treatment of the eyes and their associated structures. After completing college and four years of medical school, a physician must undergo four more years of specialized training before becoming an ophthalmologist. This specialized knowledge is refined and updated by taking additional courses at medical centers and attending professional meetings to inform the doctor on new advances in eye care.
Dr. Spencer receved his B.S. in Biology from Northeast Missouri State. His postdoctoral training was completed at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where he received his Doctor of Osteopathy. Dr. Spencer then completed a Residency in Ophthalmology at the Ohio University and Grandview Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Spencer is board certified and a member of The American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology, The Dayton Area Society of Ophthalmologist, National Medical Society and The American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons. He is a Clinical Associate at the Department of Ophthalmology at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Clinical Associate at Wright State University, Team Ophthalmologist for the Dayton Dragons baseball team and Consulting Ophthalmologist at the University of Dayton Athletic Department. Dr. Spencer is on staff at Grandview Medical Center, Southview Hospital, Kettering Medical Center, Dayton Outpatient Center and Dayton Eye Surgery Center.
