Dr. Monica Thoms is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She specializes in cataract surgery and LASIK, but also provides general medical eye care services.
After graduating magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in 1978, Dr. Thoms completed her medical training at the University of Illinois Medical School in Chicago. Her internship at Emanuel Hospital in Portland, Oregon, was followed by a three-year residency in the Michael Reese Hospital/ University of Chicago residency program.
Dr. Thoms is on staff at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights. She is an accomplished eye surgeon, having performed several thousand cataract surgeries, as well as LASIK, and other laser eye surgeries.
