Dr. Ralph Dado has been practicing ophthalmology for over 27 years on the south side of Chicago coming from a long family history of physicians and surgeons. He studied ophthalmology under the late Professor Frank Newell at the University of Chicago and did clinical research in intraocular lens designs and ophthalmic ultrasonography for many years.
Dr. Dado's office is located in Oak Lawn, with services convenient to surrounding communities including Orland Park, Frankfort, Mokena, Lockport, Lemont, Homer Glen, Tinley Park, Oak Forest, Midlothian, Crestwood, Palos Park, Palos Heights, Palos Hills, Worth, Alsip, Chicago Ridge, Hickory Hills, Bridgeview, Burbank, Justice, Evergreen Park and Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Dado was one of the first physicians to perform Excimer Laser Surgery in the Chicago land area and has been performing Laser Vision Correction - LASIK procedures since their approval in 1997.
Dr. Dado was awarded one of "America's Top Ophthalmologists" by the Consumers Research Council of America for 2002-2003 and 2004-2005.
Dr. Dado performs Laser Vision Correction at the Center for Surgery in Naperville using leading technologies including the latest VISX Wavefront-guided S4 Excimer laser.
The Center for Surgery ( www.centerforsurgery.com) is the only Northern Illinois LASIK surgical center with two of the most advanced Excimer laser units. These units employ the latest eye-tracking mechanisms and advanced iris registration.
Consultations for Laser Vision Correction are offered at no charge.
All Laser Vision Correction procedures include follow up appointments and enhancement procedures at no charge during the first year.
Dr. Dado is on staff at Christ Hospital, where is also chairman of the Credentials Committee. He is senior attending at Palos Hospital where he has previously served as the chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology. He is also a clinical associate at the University of Chicago.
