Larry E. Heit, M.D., a board-certified ophthalmologist, sees patients at our North Fulton office. Dr. Heit joined Thomas Eye Group in 1995. Dr. Heit is a fellowship trained cataract and refractive surgeon including LASIK surgery.
Dr. Heit received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn.
He completed a fellowship in cataract and refractive surgery at the Cullen Eye Institute of Baylor College of Medicine, where he also served as a clinical instructor. He fulfilled his ophthalmology residency at the State University of New York Health Science Center. He served his internship in internal medicine at St. Luke’s Hospital in New York, N.Y.
Dr. Heit is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Dr. Heit has a master's degree in Counseling Psychology from New York University. He is currently on staff at Thomas Eye Surgery Center, North Fulton Regional Hospital and TLC Laser Center.
Dr. Heit has four children including twins and loves art, music and outdoor activities including camping, swimming and canoeing. Dr. Heit feels that his master's degree in Counseling Psychology helps him to relate to and understand his patients. |
