Recommendation

I came to Dr. Volshteyn with a wish to have fuller breast. I have done some research before hand but was still quite unsure and nervous. My consultation with Dr. Volshteyn was very pleasant and informative. He was very professional and answered all of my questions and concerns. We discussed all possible options in regards to implant type, size, shape, as well as the different surgical approaches for placing the implants. He was very easy to talk to, so I was able to tell him exactly what I was looking to have. He provided his professional opinion and we chose implants that suited both my taste and body. Since I had a small B cup, I decided for a more natural look and chose to go to a full C with saline implants. The surgery experience was not as bad as I expected. I was nervous before the surgery, as anyone would be, but I was also very excited. Dr. Volshteyn answered all my last minute questions, and even took to time to talk to my parents, who came along for support. I was put under sedation, and was asleep before I knew it. As we agreed with the doctor, the incision to place the implant was made in the armpit. As a personal choice, I did not want the scar to be on the breast. When I woke up, I felt some aches and pains, but nothing too extreme. I was still a bit ęzoned outę and later moved to the recovery bed. I would sleep and wake up for some time. I felt very little nausea and did not vomit as I knew some people do. Once I was stable, my antibiotics and pain medication was provided and I was discharged home. The first three days of recovery were the most difficult. It was mostly due to discomfort. I had to lay only on my back and was unable to raise my arms. It was hard to get up out of bed but I had my mom helping all along. I highly suggest that people have someone to help during recovery. I had Dr. Volshteynęs pager in case of any emergency or questions. I stopped taking pain medication about 3 or 4 days after surgery. On the third day I went back to see Dr. Volshteyn. He removed my bandages and examined me. I of course had some swelling and bruising and my implants were still a bit high on my chest. Nevertheless, I felt I looked 100 percent better than prior to surgery. The healing process was very quick and tolerable. I was able to return to work a week later. For about 3-4 weeks I wore a sports bra with a band that applied pressure from the top for the implants to ęsettleę. It is now exactly a year after my surgery and I feel and look great. I am able to do most sports I love: swimming, dancing, etc. The implants have settled, my breasts look a lot more natural and feel quite soft and much more natural than I expected. Since the surgery I have recommended Dr. Volshteyn to several of my friends, of whom one has also had a breast augmentation with Dr. Volshteyn. She is also thrilled with her results. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Volshteyn to anyone. He is a very professional, knowledgeable and compassionate doctor.
