Beverly Hills facial plastic surgeons Richard W. Fleming, M.D and Toby G. Mayer, M.D. have spent over 25 years advancing the art and science of plastic surgery. Their office, the Beverly Hills Institute, is designed for patient comfort and privacy with state-of-the-art surgical suites created to accommodate the specific, delicate procedures they perform.
The Beverly Hills Institute is well-known among Hollywood celebrities as the place for rejuvenating, subtle cosmetic surgery. Because Dr. Fleming and Dr. Mayer produce such stunning, nearly-undetectable results and are scrupulous about maintaining privacy for their patients, Hollywood stars are frequent visitors to the Beverly Hills Institute.
Due to their innovative contributions to the field of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Fleming and Dr. Mayer are often asked to appear on television programs and participate in magazine interviews. Our Doctors
Toby G. Mayer, M.D. F.A.C.S., and Richard W. Fleming, M.D., F.A.C.S., are Medical Directors of the Beverly Hills Institute of Aesthetic & Reconstructive Surgery. They each have dual Board certifications and are Fellows of both the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Mayer and Dr. Fleming are Clinical Professors and past Co-Chairmen of the Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Department of Head and Neck Surgery, at the University of Southern California School of Medicine. They lecture at the University to surgeons in training and also regularly assist them in surgery.
Doctors Fleming and Mayer have been regularly invited professors at numerous teaching seminars, giving talks on plastic surgery topics such as nasal surgery, liposuction, facelifts, forehead lifts, chemical peels, and all aspects of hair replacement surgery. Invitations have been extended and accepted to perform surgery outside the United States for academic (teaching) purposes as well as for private patients in other countries.
As recognized leaders in hair replacement surgery, Dr. Mayer and Dr. Fleming co-directed the International Symposium on Hair Replacement Surgery for six years. They have published numerous papers on their innovations to the revolutionary flap technique for permanent hair replacement, and both doctors have contributed to many leading textbooks on cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. Their textbook for plastic surgeons, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery of the Scalp, is in publication. Dr. Mayer and Dr. Fleming have also published a book entitled “The Everyman’s Guide to Hair Replacement,” which is aimed at those who wish to learn more about the many different hair replacement solutions available.
