Educational Background
The University of Tel-Aviv awarded Dr. Blau his Medical Degree in 1973. His internship and residency in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery were completed at Albert Einstein Medical School in New York. Dr. Blau instructed medical students in the anatomy labs of both Albert Einstein Medical College and the New York Medical College.
Additional Affiliations
Dr. Blau is certified in the field of Plastic Surgery by the American Board of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, which is the only organization recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties to certify a plastic surgeon. He is also a Diplomat of the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons for the last fifteen years. Dr. Blau is Chief of Plastic Surgery in the Westchester Ambulatory Surgical Center (with approximately 100 surgeons). Dr. Blau is not only a surgeon but he is also a well known painter and sculptor.

What is your charity organization of choice and why?
Dr. Blau supports many Children Charities as well as the Special Olympics movement that gives athletes the chance to make their dreams come true.
What is your favorite quote or saying?
"Primum non nocere" is a Latin phrase that means "First, do no harm." It is one of the principal precepts all medical students are taught in medical school. It reminds a physician that he or she must consider the possible harm that any intervention might do.
