| The way I found Dr. Stein was that my husband had a small but deep cancerous growth on his cheek. Dr. Stein removed it, and within 2-3 weeks we couldn't find the spot. There was no scar! That's when I realized that this man was very, very adept, and I decided that he was the right person to work on my face. I knew I would be in good hands. It's been about five years since I had the bags taken out from under my eyes, a lift in the lower part of my face and smoothing out of my neck. The staff was wonderful. They were all very helpful and gentle and comforting. All in all I felt it was a very easy experience to go through. Dr. Stein is EXTREMELY competent. Very skillful and very talented at what he does. The results were wonderful. Nobody even knew that I had a face lift. They all said, "You look wonderful! Have you been on vacation?" And the recovery time was swift. Just a couple of days later I was bopping around with sunglasses and a little kerchief. That was just to hide a few little black and blue marks, and that was it.
Over time several people have asked me, "What was it like?" or "I've heard that it really hurts." I've told them that I've had worse headaches. It's definitely worth doing. It was simple experience and very gratifying. It felt wonderful about myself! It was a tremendous lift to my spirit. I was floating on air for quite a while afterwards. And anyone who ever asks me about it, I would just say, "Go for it." Anything that makes a person feel better about themselves is worth doing - and this was definitely one of those things. Durham, NC | | I've been going to them (the Facial Plastic Surgery Center) for about four years now for different services, and I don't believe Dr. Stein would steer me wrong. I'm confident that he wouldn't suggest anything for me that wasn't in my best interest - either medically or financially. Dr. Stein is a man of great integrity, and I trust him and his office manager, Virginia. They've become friends. After Thermage, I didn't notice very much difference for the first couple months. And then I couldn't tell if I was losing some weight or if the Thermage was starting to show. I did begin to clearly see the effects after about 3 months. One of the results is that it made my face look thinner. Fayetteville, NC | | The reason I went to Dr. Stein originally is that I have a really good friend who had a face lift in January. When I saw her, she looked exactly the way she had 30 years ago. It was just so natural! She had a real good experience and recovery with no problems and was just thrilled to death. I had thought about doing something with my face for a couple years, but I was always so afraid. I had seen other people whose basic "looks" were altered, and I did NOT want that. But when I saw my friend, I was amazed. I knew that I didn't want to look like a Barbie doll because I've never looked that way. I wanted to look like myself, only refreshed. It's a real artist who can reconstruct you like you were years ago, looking totally natural. Now I'm sure that Dr. Stein could make you look like anybody you want to. But he did EXACTLY what I asked him to do.
I think Dr. Stein is an absolute artist. You can teach anybody, technically, to do something. But it takes an artist to be able do what he does. Dr. Stein has a gift.
And I like the idea that he ONLY does faces. That's his area of expertise. His staff is friendly and helpful. You feel very personally cared for in their office. It's not at all hospital-like. You feel like they know you and are interested in you as a person and not just a project. You don't even feel as though it's about money. You really don't. Dr. Stein was personally accessible to me by phone. He called me himself several times to check on my recovery. He was wonderful to work with, and my husband and I felt very comfortable and confident with him.
One of the things I've been most pleased about is the friends that did not know I was having plastic surgery and can't figure out what's different about me. They had a hard time figuring out what happened to me to make me look so good. In other words, I don't look different. I look like myself, only better. To me, that's success. My recovery was unbelievable. If you did not know that I had plastic surgery you would not know it by simply looking at my face. It looks so natural. I've seen people who have had the surgery somewhere else and they just don't look quite like the same person. But I look just like me . . . only the "me" of fifteen years ago.
As a friend of mine told me, "It's the best money you'll ever spend on yourself. It's better than any piece of jewelry or any automobile that you will ever own." That's so true. Even though my visit was just for a minor cosmetic procedure, I was given the same attention as someone there for a more critical reason. They have a very professional staff. They were very friendly and accommodating. I was always seen promptly when I arrived for appointments. And I appreciated that they remembered me so cheerfully when I returned for my follow up visit.

I had pretty well decided that Dr. Stein was the best before I ever went to see him. He turned out to be wonderful. He is absolutely a perfectionist. His level of service and commitment to me was remarkable, even after business hours. Dr. Steinıs not happy with the results unless you are happy. My friends are all amazed at how much younger I look. Even without make-up! My eyes are so much brighter, and I look more rested and alert. Iıve never been called beautiful my whole life. But since the surgery Iıve had several people comment that I looked beautiful or reminded them of a famous movie star. Even a couple of strangers! Iıd never been told that before, and I really enjoyed it.
I especially appreciate the fact that Dr. Stein specializes in just faces. I think the more you do of one thing makes you better than being a jack-of-all-trades. His background and experience really did make me feel more comfortable. Especially his ENT training! Dr. Stein even discovered a small skin cancer on my face which he removed. Another doctor later told me that he had done a beautiful job with it. . Iıve recommended several of my friends to go there. Everyone in his office is great, and the atmosphere is very discrete.
