Our Mission at the Facial Plastic Surgery Center is to provide you the highest quality facial plastic surgery services in a most caring and pleasant environment.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Kienstra is a board-certified facial plastic surgeon who serves as the Director of Facial Trauma Services at St. John’s Health System.  His extensive facial plastic surgery background includes a prestigious internship and residency at Mayo Clinic and a facial plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Michigan. 

He is a diplomate of The American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngolgy.  He is named in Woodward and White’s The Best Doctors in America, a peer-reviewed national listing of physicians, under the specialty of facial plastic surgery.

A devoted family man, Dr. Kienstra and his wife have a beautiful little girl and are enjoying her immensely. “she is my best work yet,”  says Dr. Kienstra with a proud smile. 

In his spare time, he enjoys music, ethical theory and applied ethics, 19th century Russian literature, fly-fishing, running, and ice hockey.
