What makes your specialties the right fields of medicine for you?
All my work is visible to patients and the patients appreciation for my work makes plastic surgery the best field in medicine.

When (your age) did you first realize you wanted to become a surgeon? And did you experience anything in particular to motivate you to achieve this prestigious goal?
I come from a family of physicians and surgeons. I almost feel that it is in my genes as my grandfather, father, various uncles, nephews, nieces, and my brother are all physicans / surgeons.
Can you tell us in your own words what you consider a perfect outcome of a surgical procedure?
A perfect outcome for any procedure has two important components:
1. It is performed safely
2. Patient's goal or expectations are met and the patient is happy with the results. It is my goal to meet patient's expectations and doing this is the perfect outcome.
What is your favorite procedure to perform and why?
The beauty of plastic surgery is that we are not limited to any one specific body area but do breast surgery, body contouring, and facial enhancement surgery. We are able to do this because of our extensive training and extensive knowledge of basic principles. Having said this, I do like eyelid surgery as most people are very satisfied with eyelid / browlift as it makes them look younger and takes away the appearance of being tired.
What procedure would you like to do more of and why?
I like to perform procedures that will satisfy the patients and meet their goals. So I like to perform any procedure that fits this criteria. I also avoid unnecessary procedures.
In a perfect world, when would you like to retire, where would you go and what would you do?
I will likely retire near my children as I would like to continue my interaction with my children, friends, and family. I would like to continue to work in some manner, whether administrative or a charity organization.
