Originally from Sarasota, Dr. Gardner's distinguished medical career began with an appointment to the faculty at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. After 10 years of a busy academic and clinical practice where he attained the rank of Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery with tenure, he moved back to south Florida to focus his practice on the art of aesthetic plastic surgery. He has the experience and compassion you want in your surgeon.
Dr. Gardner is a highly acclaimed plastic surgeon with board certifications in both general and plastic surgery. He was trained by and became partners with world-renowned plastic surgeon, Dr. Luis Vasconez, a pioneer in techniques of minimally invasive plastic surgery. Dr. Gardner is the author of several book chapters and has authored and co-authored numerous journal articles. He has participated in the training of other plastic surgeons in residency, and has given lectures and taught at national meetings and workshops.
He is a passionate humanitarian and has traveled with Operation Smile on multiple medical missions around the world to correct facial deformities in children.
