... I would be a patient, I would want a Physician to care for me and what is best for my well being for the future of a long and healthy life.
When (your age) did you first realize you wanted to become a surgeon? And did you experience anything in particular to motivate you to achieve this prestigious goal?
I come from a long history of family physicians and have married my wife who also comes from a long history of physicians. It is and has always been in my blood to be one.
Can you tell us in your own words what you consider a perfect outcome of a surgical procedure?
When a patient returns to me and I am able to tell them the skin cancer is all gone. We have accomplished what we set out to do. Or when a patient returns to say their life has changed for the better of the results of wrinkle reduction or fat reduction, even hair removal. You would not believe the change that it does for my patients to make their aspect on life so much better.
What is your favorite procedure to perform and why?
Every procedure I perform is my favorite or I would not perform it. Every patient is different and not every needs to same thing, so what ever procedure I do is a change for that patient and that makes me feel I am glad I have learned to do a variety of things and actually enjoy them all.
What procedure would you like to do more of and why?
The Smart-Lipo is a new procedure and I think more patients will actually benefit from this and the visual outcome is so much more, and to see a patient change for the better in such a large way is such a great feeling.
In a perfect world, when would you like to retire, where would you go and what would you do?
I would like to retire in about 10 years and enjoy my boys more as they get older and finish school, and cruise around the world with my beautiful wife.
