Deviated septum surgery

Septoplasty involves surgically straightening deviations, fractures, or bowing of the cartilage and bone that make up the septum. The septum divides the nose internally into two separate passages. This procedure re-establishes airflow through both nasal passages in order to improve nasal breathing. All incisions are made through the insides of the nostrils with no external or visible incisions and no change in the shape or appearance of the nose unless this is specifically desired and requested.

Endoscopic Sinus Surgery

Endoscopic Sinus Surgery is performed via the nostrils using a small video endoscope and microinstruments. The goal of this surgery is to enlarge the sinus openings and remove obstructions within the nose and sinuses in order to re-establish the normal mucociliary flow. Once this mucous flow from the sinuses into the nose is re-established, the incidence of recurrent infections and their associated symptomatology is significantly reduced.
