Elton Strauss, MD FACS is associate professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Geriatrics at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He is the Chief of Adult Reconstructive Surgery and Orthopaedic Trauma at the Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Dr. Strauss has had two successful shoulder repairs and three spine reconstructions, fortunately the operations were successful. These experiences left Dr. Strauss with a whole new prospective on the pain, anxiety and difficulties his patients face with their orthopaedic problems.
Dr. Strauss is an advocate of the geriatric patient, he has written and spoken extensively on primary arthroplasty for complex fractures of the knee and hip. He is part of the research team for prosthetic replacement of periprosthetic fractures as well as primary replacement for fractures.
