Additional Affiliations
Over the years, Dr. Harre has frequently updated his knowledge of cosmetic and restorative dentistry with continuing education courses and memberships in several highly respected dental organizations. Dr. Harre has been awarded Fellowships in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the Academy of General Dentistry in recognition of his accomplishments in these areas. Dr. Harre is also a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association and the Northern Virginia Dental Association.
As well as being actively involved in various community and dental organizations, Dr. Harre provides pro bono services through the Fauquier Free Clinic and the Donated Dental Services Program of Virginia; additionally, he is a CPR instructor for the Northern Virginia Dental Society. Dr. Harre currently serves as a member of the Town of Warrenton Planning Commission, he was appointed to the Commission in 1993.

Educational Background
Dr. John W. Harre received his bachelor’s degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point, with an emphasis in engineering. For his dental training, he was selected for the prestigious Accelerated Professional Training Program (APT Program) at the University of Maryland Dental School. After graduation, Dr. Harre completed a General Practice Residency at Kimbrough Army Hospital prior to being stationed at Vint Hill Farms Station, Virginia for five years. Subsequently, he opened his private office in Warrenton over twenty years ago; Dr. Harre has built a large, loyal clientele based upon referrals from satisfied patients.
Dr. Harre combines his engineering and dental skills with his creative hand and his artistic talent to design cosmetic, restorative and comprehensive dentistry, with particular emphasis on tooth replacement with dental implants.
“Dentistry is very similar to art; with cosmetic and restorative work the dentist is creating and sculpturing inside the mouth, creating an esthetically pleasing and functional piece of art,” states Dr. Harre.
