We at Plastic Surgery Bellingham are happy to work with you on payment options to help you invest in your greatest asset – yourself. We offer a selected patient financing called Applied Patient Finance. While cosmetic surgery, performed to enhance your appearance and self-esteem, is usually not covered by insurance, reconstructive surgery often is. Reconstructive surgery is performed to correct abnormal bodily structures caused by congenital defects, trauma, infection, etc., in order to improve function. There are some situations in which a procedure fulfils both a cosmetic and a reconstructive purpose, and an insurance carrier will consider contributing to the costs. For instance, a breast reduction procedure is often considered reconstructive due to the back and shoulder pain often caused by large, pendulous breasts, although it serves a cosmetic purpose as well. Again, we are dedicated to working with you to meet your needs.
