An inside interview with LocateADoc.com
Describe the most rewarding experience that you have had working with a patient?
There have been many positive and rewarding experiences with different patients. My greatest reward is based on my patient's satisfaction. To be able to see a person's problem corrected and their self esteem improved is extremely gratifying.
What is your favorite quote or saying?
"Strive for perfection but live with reality"
What makes your specialties the right fields of medicine for you?
I like being able to see the immediate changes that you can have on patients. Not only the physical changes, but also
the positive mental changes.
When (your age) did you first realize you wanted to become a surgeon? And did you experience anything in particular to motivate you to achieve this prestigious goal?
I became interested in medicine when I was in high school. This came about when I suffered a knee injury in a football game. After having surgery, I decided that I wanted to become a surgeon. At first, I wanted to become an orthopedic surgeon, but came to realize my real inspiration lie with plastic surgery.
Can you tell us in your own words what you consider a perfect outcome of a surgical procedure?
Perfection is an illusive goal to always strive for. I have never walked away from a surgery thinking everything
was "perfect". I think if you perform surgery and you think the surgery is perfect you have become complacent. You should always strive to achieve better results.
