Describe the most rewarding experience that you have had working with a patient?
The smile and hug from a grateful patient, whether reconstructive or cosmetic, is the most wonderful reward a physician can get.
What is your charity organization of choice and why?
The homeless. Whether I give money or clothing, these unfortunate individuals lack the most essential necessities of every day living, a roof over their heads.
What does living in the San Antonio community mean to you?
Sunshine, fiesta, and family. I love the weather in S.A. There are lots of fun and educational activities to partake in. Most of all, it is very family friendly and fortunately my whole family lives here in S.A.
What makes your specialties the right fields of medicine for you?
I love working with my hands and molding ( plastique ) patients bodies, to recostruct and improve their shape and looks.

When (your age) did you first realize you wanted to become a surgeon? And did you experience anything in particular to motivate you to achieve this prestigious goal?
About 20. I was always interested in medicine and always wanted to use my hands.
Can you tell us in your own words what you consider a perfect outcome of a surgical procedure?
When the patient is completely satisfied.
What is your favorite procedure to perform and why?
Abdominoplasty. I can make dramatic changes to the shape of the abdomen with very positive feedback. However I enjoy performing all cosmetic procedures.
What procedure would you like to do more of and why?
Abdominoplasty. As above.
In a perfect world, when would you like to retire, where would you go and what would you do?
65. Near the ocean,because that's where my wife would like to go. Somewhere where there are good restaurants and broadway type shows.
