About John Doliver Newkirk II, Ph.D., MD, FACS - Columbia, South Carolina (SC)

John D. Newkirk, Ph.D., MD, FACS, is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Inc.  After undergraduate school, Dr. Newkirk obtained the degrees of Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy from the Department of Biochemistry of Bowman Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest University. He then obtained his MD from Northwestern University School of Medicine. Dr. Newkirk trained at the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center and Loyola University of Chicago. He then completed training in plastic surgery at Foothills Hospital, the University of Calgary, Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Dr. Newkirk is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Inc., and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
