Describe the most rewarding experience that you have had working with a patient?
Everyday when I see my post-op High Def Smartlipo patients, it's like Christmas! We take off their compression garment and it is as if I am seeing a new piece of art. I become everyone's new best friend overnight. The patients bounce into the office with new outfits, haircuts, and a new sense of purpose. Each day is rewarding because we transform a patient from head to toe. What’s remarkable is the new confidence each patient demonstrates. This is what Physician Body Solutions is all about..
What does living in the Philadelphia community mean to you?
I have lived in and around the city my entire life and have no intention of ever leaving. Philadelphia is rich with
culture and activity. It is my home. I leave the office, walk home, get out of my scrubs and back out on the town to various art, music or entertainment events. I frequently run into patients around town. I am a very casual person and enjoy relaxing in and around the city. You can find me on my city walk at 6am or in various restaurants at night.
What is your favorite quote or saying?
"The bottom line is...." I like to get down to business. My staff and patients know that I will give them honest, definitive advice. I don't allow my staff or patients to convince me of anything that I don't think is in their best interest.
What makes your specialties the right fields of medicine for you?
I am an artist and I love working with my hands and learning new things. Cosmetic surgery and aesthetic medicine allow me to combine my artist talent, medical training, technical skill and thirst for knowledge. I consider myself an artist expert in the field who constantly studies the latest and greatest methods for improving the results that I can bring to my patients.

If I weren't a doctor I would be an artist. I love working with my hands and learning new things. It is my artistic talent that affords me the skill I have in cosmetic medicine.
Can you tell us in your own words what you consider a perfect outcome of a surgical procedure?
The perfect outcome is achieving the results you expect from the procedure you perform. With liposuction, it is getting the thinnest, smoothest contour possible. When my patients are happy and dropping sizes, I am a happy surgeon. When we have erased their frown and laugh lines, I have happy people leaving my office. My patients are walking artistic billboards of my work. I want them to have a completely natural look.
What is your favorite procedure to perform and why?
I love making faces and bodies. It is what I do best. I don't have a particular favorite procedure. Whether I am sculpting the body with High Definition Smartlipo or resurfacing and restoring the face, I am in my element.
What procedure would you like to do more of and why?
I would love to perform Laser skin resurfacing, botox and fillers to everyone over the age of 35. People ask me if I look around town and think of what I can do to improve a person's appearance. Actually...I do. When someone has brown spots all over their face or deep frown lines between their eyebrows, I feel like I should walk up and give them my card. It isn't vain to get your face restored to a more youthful appearance.
In a perfect world, when would you like to retire, where would you go and what would you do?
If I retired, I would travel the world on ship for a few months per year and spend the rest of my time teaching medical students and improving my oil painting skills.
