Describe the most rewarding experience that you have had working with a patient?
Helping patients to feel better about themselves and thus, more functional in their lives.
What is your charity organization of choice and why?
The York Cancer Center Patient Help Fund is my charity organization of choice. All of the funds colllected go to needy patients suffering from cancer in our community.
What makes your specialties the right fields of medicine for you?
Plastic surgery gives me the combination of practicing a field which is both technologically challenging and fullfils my interest in art and perception. Plastic surgery is dedicated to improve the quality of life .
When (your age) did you first realize you wanted to become a surgeon? And did you experience anything in particular to motivate you to achieve this prestigious goal?
I knew that I wanted to be a surgeon when I was 8 years old and I was hospitalized for several months.
Can you tell us in your own words what you consider a perfect outcome of a surgical procedure?
The perfect outcome of a surgical procedure is when I have a patient that feels we have succeeded in accomplishing our pre-operative plan.
In a perfect world, when would you like to retire, where would you go and what would you do?
I can't imagine retiring from a profession that gives me so much personal satisfaction
