Lasers remove tattoo ink with the energy of light. The laser device produces one or more specific wavelengths of light and medical research has taught us which wavelengths of light to use to best remove the different tattoo ink colors. Tatoo ink is removed by using specific wavelengths of light which pass through the skin, but are absorbed by the ink. The rapid absorption of the light energy causes the tattoo ink to break down. The ink is then absorbed and disposed of by the body.
