IPL is broadband light delivered in high intensity pulses. It is non-ablative ( does not damage the surface of the skin) as the intense light is delivered to the deeper layers of the skin (dermis) leaving the surface layer (epidermis) untouched. This means there is virtually no recovery time. You can apply makeup immediately after treatment and return to your regular activities.
