An inside interview with LocateADoc.com
Describe the most rewarding experience that you have had working with a patient?
There are so many experiences and patients that come to mind. Most patients are extremely happy with the Optimum Lift and some even shed tears of joy, bring gifts and eternal praise. Once, my wife met a patient of mine and her daughter in Toronto. My wife actually thought the 45 year old mother and 16 year old daughter were sisters.
What is your charity organization of choice and why?
Every year I give more and more to new charities because new causes are more pressing than the year before. Large donations include Red Cross, Tsunami relief, Earthquake relief, and local charities like building the new Emergency Room to creating an endowment at the new shelter for battered women and children.
What does living in the Niagara Falls community mean to you?
I believe a community needs to work together, play together, pray together and grow together. Personally, I have been honored to serve my community as a regional plastic surgeon and I am equallly pleased to give back to the community.
What is your favorite quote or saying?
All praises are to God, most gracious, most merciful.
What makes your specialties the right fields of medicine for you?
Plastic surgery is a great field for the meticulous perfectionist.
I love to build and be creative. Every patient is unique and deserves the best care.
Finish this sentence: If I weren't a doctor I would be___.
a dentist. I would be happy as a maxillofacial surgeon instead of a plastic surgeon. I could still help my patients smile.
When (your age) did you first realize you wanted to become a surgeon? And did you experience anything in particular to motivate you to achieve this prestigious goal?
I wanted to be a surgeon ever since I could spell the word. I come from a family of doctors and everyone told me how I was good with my hands. From building models to sculpting works of art, I have been fascinated by what steady hands can create.
Can you tell us in your own words what you consider a perfect outcome of a surgical procedure?
The perfect outcome gives the patient exactly what she wants and needs with no no complications or drawbacks. A lasting result becomes the patient as beauty is in the eye of the beholder and the beheld.
What is your favorite procedure to perform and why?
The Optimum Lift by far. It is an excellent procedure, with little downtime, minimal complications, and amazing results all for less than half the cost of a full facelift.
What procedure would you like to do more of and why?
The Optimum Lift for face, neck and lids. The biggest comment is "This is amazing! Why don't more people do this?"
This is probably not promoted as much as it deserves.
In a perfect world, when would you like to retire, where would you go and what would you do?
Ideally, I am retired. Every day that I am doing plastic surgery is a blessing and I would like to keep contributing to society where I am needed the most.
