Educational Background
- Dr. Lichten earned a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry with Honors and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 1993 from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts.
- He then was graduated with his Medical Degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1998.
- Dr. Lichten completed a full 5-years of General Surgery Residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. While there, Dr. Lichten received numerous awards including the Leon Ginzburg Achievement Award for Outstanding Chief Resident.
- Born in Columbus, Ohio and raised in the Midwest, Dr. Lichten returned to his roots and completed a Plastic Surgery Residency at the Ohio State University Medical Center. His broad training included all aspects of plastic surgery, including reconstructive, hand, burn and cosmetic surgery.

Can you tell us in your own words what you consider a perfect outcome of a surgical procedure?
A perfect outcome is a happy patient. I don't think any surgeon can base perfection on their own opinions, the only thing that matters is that my patients are happy with the end results.
