Young man with inverted nipples. Despite this man having a very muscular presentation, he will not take off his shirt in public and is embarassed with his chest appearance. Shown postoperatively at one week. Notice how your eyes are brought to his muscular chest and not to the "what is going on with his nipples" chest. His confidence is greatly enhanced and he is much more proud of his physical appearance. Men too have a great deal of pride in their chest appearance.

Patient who had a previous mastopexy by another surgeon had nipple inversion and denting above the nipple. Implants were placed and the inverted nipple was everted in the office in a half-hour procedure under local anesthesia. Other forms of anesthesia may be used.

Patient with severely inverted nipples underwent breast augmentation and is shown two weeks post-op. The augmentation will not evert a nipple in almost all cases. The procedure is completed in the office under local anesthesia. Note the projection and amount of nipple bud that was inverted, causing inability to breast feed, embarassment when breasts are exposed and decreased intimacy factors.
