Describe the most rewarding experience that you have had working with a patient?
There are so many. Helping a young person get over the difficulty of a very large nose, a flat chest, a congenital deformity; all these things can help someone achieve a greater sense of peace and confidence, and let them reach the heights to which they are called.
What is your charity organization of choice and why?
The Franciscan Friars of The renewal. I have gone on annual mission trips to their hospital in Comayagua, Honduras to do free cleft lip and palate surgery on some of the poorest children in the Western Hemisphere.
What is your favorite quote or saying?
"What is man that you keep him in mind?"
Can you tell us in your own words what you consider a perfect outcome of a surgical procedure?
The perfect outcome for any surgical procedure is when the patient is absolutely thrilled.
What is your favorite procedure to perform and why?
My favorite procedures are those which I think the patient is a good candidate for and will achieve a significant improvement.
