An inside interview with LocateADoc.com
Describe the most rewarding experience that you have had working with a patient?
The absolute most rewarding experience I have had with a patient has to be when I was called in to care for an WWII veteran who was drunk and beaten. He had severe cuts to his face and it took nearly 3 hours & over 100 stitches to fix his face! His life was pretty bad and when he returned for follow up he had made me a dream catcher to show his appreciation. The fact that he had so little but offered me something heart felt made me satisfied in knowing I was able to help him thru tough times.
What is your favorite quote or saying?
"...Be the change you wish to see in the world..." Mahatma Gandhi
When (your age) did you first realize you wanted to become a surgeon? And did you experience anything in particular to motivate you to achieve this prestigious goal?
I realized that I wanted to be a Plastic Surgeon once I saw one of my mentors repairing a 3 month old's mishapen skull that was compressing the brain. I knew then that THIS was the best field for me. I think that having this type of love for your profession is critical because it means that I will always strive to be the best in my field.
What is your favorite procedure to perform and why?
My favorite procedure has to be breast augmentation and breast lifts. Women simply love the results and I seem to understand what they are asking for. Its just a good match.
