About Mariam Awada, MD - Southfield,
Michigan (MI)
Dear Dr. Awada/Staff,
For many years I avoided looking in the mirror because I hated seeing what child bearing had done to me. I am a 29 year old recently divorced mother of three beautiful kids and for the past 7 years have been very conscience about my body due to the stretched skin that hung from my abdomen.
Many people that I know have had tummy tucks with the worst scars I ever seen (some with scars as thick and wide as an index finger). The stories I heard were horrid. I had been to many plastic surgeons but due to the lack of professionalism and just wanting to rush me into the operating room and not taking the time to answer my questions, I was afraid to go back to them.
Just after my 29th birthday I had the courage to come to your office for a consultation. I was very impressed with the way that you handled my situation. You took the time to answer all of my questions with a realistic explanation of your theory. Above all, you treated me as a friend rather than a client. Unlike many other doctors I’ve met, you were honest by eliminating procedures that I really didn’t need and recommended exercise. You showed a lot of caring and concern for my health. Nowadays that is very difficult to find and that is what won my confidence. On April 25, 2005 I came to the office with all confidence "knowning" that I will be very happy with the results of my surgery. All of your staff members were very professional, friendly, caring and helpful.
It has been almost 3 months since my surgery, although I am still swollen from the liposuction and tummy tuck all of my friends are impressed at the way you took time to sew my incision and the way it is healing with minimal scarring. The pain is almost completely gone and my body is contouring beautifully. I have gained confidence and I have NEVER been this happy.
Dr. Awada and staff, Thank you!! I appreciate all that you have done for me and your up front, forth right manner in dealing with your clients. It is refreshing!!
