Experience
A triple board-certified Cosmetic Surgeon, Dr. Gerald Edds has been performing cosmetic surgery for over twenty-five years. He lectures to international audiences on a variety of cosmetic surgical topics and is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. Dr. Edds is on the Board of Trustees of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and is Chairman of the American Society of Liposuction Surgery, (2007 – 2008). Our large cosmetic surgical volume reflects our commitment to quality. The Aesthetic Surgery Center is the largest cosmetic breast surgery practice in the tri-state and among the larger of practices in the nation. We also perform a large volume of liposuction and cosmetic surgical procedures to the eyelids, face and neck.
Safety
Cosmetic surgery is one of the few purely elective areas in medicine. As such, full attention to patient safety is paramount. Although all of the procedures we perform can be performed at the local hospital, where Dr. Edds has full privileges in plastic surgery, most of our procedures are performed in the Aesthetic Surgery Center. The center, which is located within our facility, is state licensed and Medicare approved as well as fully accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. Dr. Edds, all anesthesia providers and all nursing staff are certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support. Attention to the details of safety are evident in the comfort our patients take in having their surgery in the Aesthetic Surgery Center.

As cosmetic surgical procedures are not generally covered by health insurance, prospective patients are not only interested in outstanding results but also in services at a price they can afford. Operating in our fully equipped, state licensed and full accredited office-based surgery center allows us to utilize strict overhead controls.
