Describe the most rewarding experience that you have had working with a patient?
I will sometimes get called to our local ER for facial trauma, and one night I was called to repair a significantly large facial wound on a beautiful 6 year old girl. She healed amazingly well, with very little scarring, and her parents were really grateful. Doing work like that is as rewarding to me as it is to the ones I'm helping.
What is your favorite quote or saying?
Most anything Paul or Jesus says in the New Testament of the Bible. Probably Romans 8:28, "We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him and are called according to His purpose."

An artist. Before graduating from high school in Florida I had to choose between the University of Florida and the Savannah College of Art and Design. I decided on UF and majored in Biology, but my love for fine arts made the choice difficult. So, I took that talent I had and worked it into my medical and surgical career. That's how I ended up where I am today, as a Cosmetic Surgeon.
Can you tell us in your own words what you consider a perfect outcome of a surgical procedure?
Well, there are no perfect outcomes, but a really good surgical outcome is when the person looks younger, more refreshed, and well-rested. I do not want them to look like they have had surgery. I want the person to be confident with their new look and feel beautiful on the inside and the outside.
What is your favorite procedure to perform and why?
I really love doing full facial rejuvenation procedures; I like to combine a laser-assisted face lift with and eye lift, brow lift, fat transfer to the cheeks and lines around the mouth and a chemical peel to the lines around the eyes. The results are really dramatic, and my patients often say they feel like they look 10-15 years younger. I want them to still look like themselves, just much younger and refreshed. My face lift techniques do NOT give the plastic or pulled look. I prefer natural beauty.
What procedure would you like to do more of and why?
Large volume fat transfer and liposculpture. An example is the Brazillian Butt Lift. This is a really artistic procedure, and I think of it as sculpture of the body, literally. This is a cutting edge technique that was developed in Brazil several years ago and has caught on well in the US recently.
