Educational Background
After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and math from Troy State University in Troy, Alabama. Dr. Byrd obtained her medical degree from the University of South Alabama Medical College, Mobile Alabama in 1977. She remained in Mobile to pursue further training in obstetrics and gynecology at University of South Alabama Medical Center. Dr. Byrd trained in Europe with some of the world's leading aesthetic surgeons, including Dr. Giorgio Fischer, Rome , Italy , the creator of Liposuction, Dr. Anthony Erian of London, England, Dr. Roger Amar of Marbella, Spain, creator of the FAMI procedure and Dr. Pierre Fournier of Paris , France . Dr. Fournier is considered the father of aesthetic surgery. Having been in clinical practice for more than 20 years, Dr. Byrd has a wealth of experience in both traditional medicine and anti-aging therapies.
Early in 2005 Dr. Byrd introduced her trademarked "Soft BeautificationTM" a combination of minimally invasive aesthetic procedures designed to restore a more youthful and healthy appearance based on the specific needs of the patient.
She is a Diplomat of National Board of Medical Examiners, a Diplomat of the American Board of Mesotherapy, a former Member of the Board of Directors of the American Board of Mesotherapy, a Member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, Member of the American Society of Lipo-Suction Surgery, and Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Featured for her aesthetic rejuvenation expertise, Dr. Byrd has appeared on WSB TV's Hot Topics, FOX TV, WXIA TV, and CNN.
