What does living in the West Palm Beach community mean to you?
There is considerable enjoyment and excitement to live and practice medicine in South Florida. During my 30 plus years in the area, I have seen it grow and become a destination for the arts, theatre, sports, concerts, and much more. Every part of South Florida including West Palm Beach, Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Boynton Beach, Wellington, Jupiter, Vero Beach, Stuart, Lake Worth, Port Saint Lucie, Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Deerfield Beach, Pompano Beach, and Fort Lauderdale has changed and evolved. As part of the medical community, we have a responsibility to: 1) Support the charitable organizations in the area. We provide free and discounted medical service to a wide range of organizations. 2) Provide Pro Bono assitance to needy children, and we do so as the Palm Beach County Project Access Program. 3) Optimize convenience and service. We do so by maintaining Saturday hours (a rarity in the field) and providing the most cost effective fee structure.

Can you tell us in your own words what you consider a perfect outcome of a surgical procedure?
Plastic Surgery is an imperfect science, and the results are rarely perfect. However, a perfect outcome is that the woman/man feels that the surgery has positively impacted their life and they feel that they feel and look their best. A smiling patient is an excellent reward.

What procedure would you like to do more of and why?
I would like to have more children come in for an Otoplasty (ear surgery) or Rhinoplasty (nose surgery). Prominent protruding ears can look unnatural. By three to four years of age children begin to recognize the difference in their ears form that of their peers. However, it is not until six to ten years of age that caustic remarks begin to leave psychological scars. Through a minor procedure the ears can be set back to a natural position. There is a very little discomfort from the surgery. It is best to have the surgery around six due to physical development. Most importantly, the intervention is early enough to prevent the damaging effects of cruel psychological remarks. While Rhinoplasty is best known to meet aesthetic goals, it is invaluable to correct birth defects or breathing problems. For selected patients who do not have the means to pay, Dr. Reddy may conduct the procedures on children pro bono through the Palm Beach County Medical Society Project Access program.
