An architect (I've always loved design).
When (your age) did you first realize you wanted to become a surgeon? And did you experience anything in particular to motivate you to achieve this prestigious goal?
Since I was a teenager. I grew up in a medical family (surgeon for a father and registered nurse for a mother), and plastic surgery combined my loves of medicine and architecture.
What is your favorite procedure to perform and why?
Rhinoplasty. It is far and away the most creative aspect of plastic surgery and allows the greatest opportunity for a custom-tailored result. It also combines aesthetics with function (which is where a background in ear, NOSE, and throat surgery is so critical).
