Dr. Palma is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who has been practicing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for more than twenty years. He received his medical education and training at some of the best universities in the nation.
After graduating from Harvard Medical School with an M.D. degree, Dr. Palma served his General Surgery Internship and Residency at the University of California in San Francisco and completed his residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Stanford University Medical Center in California.
In 1996 he opened the Sunrise Intracoastal Plastic Surgery Center (SIPSC), which is nationally accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF), and certified by the state of Florida, which gives patients the assurance of safety and quality in all aspects of their outpatient surgery experience.
SIPSC is a stand-alone, state-of-the-art Surgery Center, as well as a full-service Skin Care and Cosmetic Laser Center. We offer private and public entrances as well as ample free parking. Our facility has been designed to offer our patients post-surgical overnight care if required in a comfortable setting to make them feel at home, which also ensures privacy, anonymity, and one-to-one custodial care.
Dr. Palma is a volunteer Surgeon and has been on the Board of Directors of Interplast, a nonprofit organization, which provides fee Plastic and Reconstructive surgery to needy patients, mostly children, in underdeveloped countries. He is past Chief of the Medical Staff, past Head of the Division of Plastic Surgery, and Past Chairman of the Department of Surgery at North Ridge Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale. He is currently a member of multiple national and local organizations including the prestigious American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Dr. Palma is also on the staff and has surgical privileges at most of the local area hospitals.
His current private practice focuses on aesthetic (cosmetic) surgery. In addition to traditional surgery for reshaping and rejuvenating the face, nose, neck, eyelids and breasts, he is very enthusiastic about all new techniques and refinements related to cosmetic surgery; including the VASER ultrasound liposuction technology, "no visible scar" surgery for eyelids and breast implants, Chemical Peels, Botox and facial wrinkle fillers such as Restylane, Radiesse, and Sculptra.
