Jacksonville Plastic Surgery Center is our onsite outpatient surgery facility where the majority of our surgeries are performed comfortably and safely using local anesthesia and intravenous sedation. You’ll feel both pampered and at ease in our modern, fully equipped outpatient center. You’ll also feel confident visiting the center knowing it meets the high national standards of, and is accredited by, the American Association for the Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF).
This is where the majority of our surgeries are performed comfortably and safely using local anesthesia and intravenous sedation. For those situations when a general anesthesia is indicated, we use nearby centers staffed by Board Certified Anesthesiologists.
Upon your new patient arrival you’ll receive an information / personal health questionnaire to complete. After this is complete you’ll then be escorted to the Audio-Visual room to view a video, if appropriate for your desired procedure.
During your consultation you’ll be seen by Dr. Obi and his assistant for a discussion of your areas of interest, they’ll also review your medical history and perform an examination. Dr. Obi will work with you to provide a very detailed description of your procedure as well as possible options for your treatment. In addition you’ll also discuss the risks of the procedure, and then any questions you may have are answered.
You may then undergo an additional consult with our Surgery Coordinator regarding the timing of your surgery and any other necessary arrangements. A pre-operative consultation visit is scheduled for you prior to surgery so you may again discuss the planned procedure and any of your questions will be answered.
