I had my breast augmentation 3 months ago, I am feeling great and I cannot believe the results I got in the end. I am a mom of two kids, I breast fed both so that totally ruined any kind of breasts I had after kids. I waited 4 years after my last child was born to begin looking into having a breast augmentation. I was unsure about the risks of surgery and all that could happen but one day I decided that enough was enough, I had so much breast tissue I would hate for my husband to even touch them so I decided to start looking for a plastic surgeon. I went to several Dr.ęs and had many, many, consultations but I never felt comfortable with any of the Doctors, I rarely received calls back on questions or even just a warm smile from the office staff. So I stopped looking for a Dr. for a few months and decided to go back on line and research some more. I came across Dr. Poustięs web-site and said ok this one has to be it or I donęt know what Ięm going to do. The office staff was very professional and kind on the phone, and even more so when I went in for my consultation.
When I met Dr. Pousti he didnęt make me feel rushed, he took his time answering questions and he didnęt seem like he had to be somewhere else even with a full waiting room. He just made me feel comfortable. I did not hesitate to schedule me surgery as soon as I could. I had me surgery about a month after my consultation and the day of surgery was great, I was nervous but feeling good everyone at the surgery center were reassuring and wonderful. When I awoke from surgery I felt good, and I was ready to go home, on the way Dr. Pousti called me on the phone to check how I was feeling, I couldnęt believe it that just shows what a great Dr. he really is, he really cares about his patients.
The first couple of days were a little challenging for me, I didnęt have any pain, I just couldnęt handle not doing anything but resting. I went to my post op appointment a few days later and I finally got to see my breasts without the bandage, I was so excited and I couldnęt believe that they didnęt look bruised and the incision was so tiny. My only complaint was wearing the surgery bra but it was well worth it. I canęt thank Dr. Pousti enough for his talent and for being such a warm caring person, he has given me more confidence and I will never forget it. All of the ladies in his office really are wonderful; together they are a great team helping people.

Winchester, CA | | I am very type-A when it comes to doing research and investigating something. So when I started to research breast augmentation, I investigated all types of doctors. Doctors on glossy advertisements in magazines, celebrity high profile plastic surgeons as well as the smaller less known surgeons with great patient testimonials. I did most of my research on the web and Dr. Poustięs name came up several times. Dr. Pousti was actually the fifth doctor I interviewed and he ended up being the last. Dr. Pousti and his staff were very warm and welcoming right from the start. The difference with him is his calming sweet nature, and the amount of experience he has specifically with breast augmentation (not to mention all his accolades). The opportunity to visit with other patients was another huge bonus. To actually see the end results of other breast augmentation surgeries and listen to their experiences, was extremely helpful and informative. Once I decided on Dr. Pousti I came back several times making sure he understood what results I wanted from this surgery, basically very natural looking breasts. Dr. Pousti was very understanding and appreciated my concerns. He listened and reassured me I was in very capable hands. I was pretty nervous about the procedure, but when I showed up on surgery day I felt confident I was going to be fine. Everything went smoothly during the operation and I woke up in the recovery room feeling fine. Dr. Pousti told me later that he tried to add more ccęs but he felt it was just not right. I knew at that point I had picked the perfect doctor for me. I lean toward a more conservative approach when it comes to cosmetic procedures and this is exactly what he did.
My recovery the next two days was easy. I had my friends (thank you so much girls!) taking care of me and was in and out of sleep. I never really felt pain it was more like tight pressure on my chest. I stopped taking the pain medication after day two because I just felt too groggy. I was out at a restaurant celebrating a friendęs birthday day four. Extra strength Tylenol was all I needed. I ended up taking a week off work. Even though I could have gone back sooner, I appreciated the extra time to relax. I had my surgery on a Friday and went back on the following Tuesday for the unveiling. They were slightly high which is normal, but looked great. In the next two months I saw Dr. Pousti once a week and did exercises to aid in the implants falling into place. I experienced random sharp pain and a general feeling that something foreign was in my chest, a weird feeling. I was nervous this feeling would never go away, but the exercises helped. After the first month the feeling subsided substantially. To date I am very ecstatic with my results. I did not expect my experience to be that smooth or to be this delighted. My breasts look so natural. They are the breasts I should have had. I wear strapless dresses and tank tops without a bra, something I have NEVER done. I have always had a good perception of my body, but my breasts were just an area that had bugged me for a very long time. I did not do this surgery for attention or to have big knockers. I wanted proportion and a general feeling of completeness. The procedure has made me feel complete and womanly. I am very pleased and would recommend Dr. Pousti to all my friends and family. la mesa, CA | | I want to thank Dr. Pousti and his wonderful staff for giving me and my husband a wonderful experience with my breast augmentation. My husband I had been talking for many months about having such a procedure. We did a lot of research; mostly on the computer; looking at doctors and reading patient testimonials. I also spoke with my neighbor who at the time was also looking into having the same procedure done. She was looking at the San Diego area where as I wanted something a little closer to home. I was surprised when I found Dr. Poustięs office right in my own backyard. (He was only minutes away from my home).
I called and made an appointment; from the second I walked into his office the staff treated me as though I was a friend not just a patient. Dr. Pousti came into my room and asked me questions about what I wanted and answered all of mine; there were a lot of them. That same day I met three patients they all had already had the procedure done and were all in the healing stage at different times. All of them were completing satisfied with the results! I left feeling happy and even more excited about having the procedure done; by now I had made up my mind; Dr. Pousti would be my doctor.
I went home and thought about when it would be a good time to have surgery. I decided that after school was out, before school started again would fir my schedule the best. I called his office and set up the surgery date. I went for the pre-op appointment. I was both excited and a little nervous. Dr. Poutsi and his staff again reassured me that everything was going to be fine and I would be pleased with the results.
I met with two more patients on that day and they to were pleasantly pleased with their results.
My husband and I arrived at Avalon in the am of June 19th. We were greeted with smiling faces. The nurses were wonderful; they explained everything to my husband and me. I was again a little nervous yet excited. Dr. Poutsi came into my room and drew some pictures on my breasts and explained what he would be doing with each individual breast. The nurses spoke to my husband about medication and how I would be feeling for the first few days after surgery. The procedure was complete and I was back home within four hours of leaving.
I slept the rest of the day, and took my medication as directed. Dr. Poutsięs staff called to see how I was doing. That was reassuring. The next day, I was tired and sore and continued to sleep the day away. Again Dr. Poutsięs staff called to see how I was doing. On the third day, I wanted to be more alert so I called and asked about different medication (over the counter Motrin). I began taking that and was feeling more like myself. I was up and moving by the weekend.
I went to my week appointment and Dr. Poutsi and I were pleased at what we saw!!! (The staff was too!) I met two ępatients-to-beę and got to ętell my story.ę I came back for my 3 week appointment and had my stiches removed, my special bra was also thrown away! YEAH!! I talked to three more patients and one decided to go ahead with her procedure!
Seven weeks after the procedure I am back to my happy, crazy self!! I continue to heal and amaze all of my friends!! I canęt help but stop at every mirror I come across and look at what an AWESOME job Dr. Poutsi and his staff have done!

Temecula, CA | | When my left breast implant ruptured I thought "Oh No!". I was scared and nervous about going through the procedure again. I went to a different surgeon in the area for a consultation. He told me the procedure would be very painful, his attitude was cold, and definetly did not give me the comforting I needed.
I then found Dr.Pousti. He was wonderful and so was his staff. Dr.Pousti was gentle, soft-spoken, and had great bed-side manners. He seemed very confident about giving me the look I wanted. He also comforted my fears and concerns about the pain I would experience. He said it should be a breeze. He felt I would do very well no problem. I have to say his office staff was also wonderful. They have this way of making you feel comfortable. I felt I was treated like a friend not just a patient. I was also very pleased with the surgery center. They were just as professional and friendly as his office staff. My nerves were calmed. I knew I was in good hands.
Well, needless to say my surgery was a breeze just like Dr.Pousti said it would be. The pain has been minimal. I have not needed any perscription pain meds. Only over the counter Tylenol and Motrin 800mg. My recovery is going better than I expected. It has been one week and I am fairly self -sufficient. I am very pleased with the results and I would like to thank Dr.Pousti so much.

I have wanted breast implants since I was 13 years old. Ięm now 33. My husband and I are at a point in our lives where we can afford to enjoy body enhancements. We are research-orientedęwe donęt do anything unless we read a book or search the Internet for information first. Thatęs where our body enhancement research began. We looked at dozens of San Diego-based plastic surgeons. We viewed pictures, prices, and professional backgrounds. I was interested in having three procedures doneębreast augmentation, lower blepharoplasty, and liposuction of my inner and outer thighs. Dr. Pousti offered the services we were interested in, and I went in for a consultation.
During that initial visit, Dr. Pousti made me feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful. We discussed the types of procedures I was interested in and he said I was a good candidate for all three. I left the office knowing that this was my plastic surgeon. His office staff was polite and helpful. All of my questions were answered. I left with a quote and with every intention of returning.
Later that evening, I discussed the quote with my husband, who found it rather reasonable. I told him about Dr. Pousti and how comfortable he made me feel. We decided that we werenęt going to look any furtheręwe found the right doctor. It was easy for me to commit to having the surgery. I had ample time off from work to recuperate, the money wasnęt an issue, and Ięve been waiting 20 years.
We scheduled our surgery and pre-op appointments. My husband attended the pre-op appointment so he could meet Dr. Pousti and ask questions. I know surgery is a serious matter, but the rapport Dr. Pousti has with his patients puts everyone at ease and his sense of humor is a wonderful complement to his professionalism. We left the office extremely confident in Dr. Pousti.
I must confess that there was about a week of worry on my part. How would I look? I could live with a botched boob job, but what about my eyes? What were they going to look like? There was no hiding them. I relieved these worries by trusting in Dr. Pousti. What else could I do?
Then, before I knew it, it was time for my surgery. My husband took me to the surgery center. The staff was great, especially my anesthesiologistęI have a hard time with needles and IVs. Dr. Pousti held my hand as the IV was inserted (Thank you!!). Dr. Pousti greeted me as I walked into the operating room. I felt at ease. Next thing I know, Ięm in the recovery room. I really donęt remember anything else about that day.
I know my husband took me home and put me right to bed. But bed was not the right place for me. I needed to be reclined, so I spent two weeks sleeping (not so much) on the couch. My husband was great about giving me my meds and keeping up with the ice pack for my eyes, then as I recovered he would massage my thighs and help with the breast exercises. He is wonderful!!
Ięm just over three weeks (25 days) out from my surgery now. Ięd say Ięm 90% recovered, as far as pain and range of motion. Ięm sleeping in bed and am thrilled with my results. My eyes look amazing. Those bags that Ięve been carrying around since birth are finally gone. My jeans fit better now that my thighs are slimmer. I canęt even begin to tell you how happy I am with my breasts. They are perfect!! They are exactly as I wanted them to look.

But there are no words that I could use to describe how happy I am. Dr. Pousti, from the moment I visited your website I knew that you would be the doctor to help me. Being the woman that I am I pay a lot of attention to detail and I noticed that you didnęt have that ęI am so perfectę face or the fake smile that I had seen on other doctors websites. That was only the beginning of something great because once I got to your office everyone there made me feel so comfortable, the nervousness I had accumulated before that initial visit was put to rest by everyone there and I could not thank them enough for everything they did for me during the whole ordeal. San Diego, CA | | The reason that I considered my breast augmentation was not because of the typical reasons that women decide to have a cosmetic procedure. I decided upon the procedure because I have a pectus excavatum. People born with pectus excavatum have a ęsunkenę or ęconcaveę chest. Pectus excavatum is a congenital chest wall deformity in which several ribs and the sternum grow to produce a concave appearance to the chest wall.
My options were to keep with the status quo and have nothing done, have a major invasive surgery to correct the pectus excavatum, or have a cosmetic procedure to conceal the problem.
The major surgery, or invasive repair of pectus excavatum surgical technique, is where an incision is cut into the chest, the sternum is forcefully lifted, a clam is forced under the sternum, and a metal stability bar (or a few bars) is placed to stabilize the chest. Several sutures are placed on the chest, which leaves a nasty scar behind. The average hospital stay is a week or longer, and the risk of complications is 20%. These statistics were excessively high for me. Instead of risking a very dangerous surgery to correct this common abnormality, I opted for a cosmetic procedure.
I live in Orange County surrounded by plastic surgeons that make claims to be the best. When I initially considered breast augmentation in 2004, I visited as many plastic surgeons as I could. Many of these doctors treated me like a number, or a paycheck, and not a human being. I nearly gave up my search.
Then I ran into a friend from San Diego who had recently had a breast augmentation. She suggested I see Dr. Pousti. I made an appointment, and upon arrival, I immediately felt less anxious. Dr. Poustięs staff treated me with respect, and were very open and honest with me. I had three more appointments with other plastic surgeons that month, but I felt as if I was going just to compare them to Dr. Pousti and his staff.
I decided to go ahead with the procedure, and scheduled my surgery for April 2006. The experience was remarkably easy. I showed up to the hospital, and all the staff worked very hard to make my experience as comfortable as possible. After the surgery, I stayed at ęThe Hideawayę which is a 24-hour facility for those recovering from a cosmetic procedure. They made sure that I stayed on schedule with my pain meds, so I do not remember being in much pain at all. It also helped that my mom and sister stayed with me as well.
Now that I am nearly four months out of surgery, I can say that I am completely satisfied with my results. Dr. Pousti had done excellent work, and I feel much more confident about having a pectus because it is now barely visible.
After my experience, I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Pousti for a breast augmentation. I want to say thank you to Dr. Pousti and all of his staff for making my experience as smooth as possible.

I had my Breast Augmentation done in May of 2006. It was not an easy decision. It took me 8 years to actually go ahead with the surgery!There was always something else that needed to be done and I had not found the right doctor. I work in a hospital and have seen and heard many horror stories. Hospitalizations from post op infections, women in the ER because they weren't well informed about what to expect post operatively, not enough pain medication, and no way to get a hold of their surgeon in the middle of the night! I knew that the hardest part of of going ahead with the surgery was going to be finding a doctor I trusted to do it. Many of my friends have had Breast Augmentation. I knew what to expect. I knew it would not be a "walk in the park". I interviewed many doctors, but I just never felt quite right about putting my life and my body into their hands. I never had that "gut" feeling that I could trust them, until I met Dr. Pousti.
Make no mistake, the most important part of deciding to have surgery, of any kind, is who you are going to choose to do it. You must ask the right questions. Not just the board certifications, those are important. But, what is their infection rate? The last thing you want to do is go home and not only try to recuperate, but get sick with some horrible infection as well ! Believe me! I have seen it happen! You want a doctor who is meticulous, who only operates in a Surgery Center or Hospital he or she trusts.Someone who takes all the necessary precautions and even some that may not be necessary! When I met with Dr Pousti, I could see his focus. I did not feel like "one of many" patients. I felt like my case was as important to him as it was to me. I wanted someone who could see the whole picture. I wanted my body to look a certain way, not just be a certain cup size! He did not throw a bunch of silicone bags at me and say "pick one". He listened and asked questions as if he was formulating his own plan on what he would do for me and how he would help me achieve my goal. My other BIG concern was post operative pain. Now, I did not want to sound like a drug addict, but I did not want to have a lack of communication about pain meds leave me beyond miserable. Dr. Pousti and his staff had already covered it and then some! I was well taken care of as far as pain medication.I had all my medications ahead of time and the surgery center made sure I was taken care of for the ride home. I won't say it was easy, but they made it as tolerable as it could possibly have been and made me as comfortable as possible. It was wonderful to know that Dr.Pousti and his staff were available should I need more medication. In fact he or someone in his office contacted me around the clock to check on my status at home. They are all extremely attentive! It's like being with your best girlfriends everytime I go for a follow up! We are all celebrating ! From beginning to end, my experience has been impeccable. Consult, pre op, surgery, post op, follow up...all well planned and everything thought out. All handled professionally. He and his staff are the absolute best! Should I choose to have any other surgeries, I would only go to him. No doubt about it!
Okay so I have covered the fact that you must ask important questions about infection rates, pain medication, surgery center, etc. I have assured you that he has a wonderful, compassionte staff and that Dr. Pousti himself is meticulous, focused and attentive. You may be wondering how satisfied I am with the end result! There are no words! Everything I could possibly have hoped for , he did. My breasts look and feel exactly the way I dreamed they would. He listened to everything I said, he looked at every picture I brought in and he gave me EXACTLY (if not better than )what I asked for! I did not think it was possible to look and feel the way that I do now. Especially not after breastfeeding 3 kids! These are the most awesome breasts I have seen and guess what ? They are mine!!! With dieting, losing weight and working out nothing was getting rid of it. I'm a very active person and this was getting to the end of my frustration. I looked online, met with Dr. Pousti's office and was convinced he was the one. Not only is the office professional but they also make you feel so content with the steps of going through the process not only physically but also mentally. This decision should not be taken lightly and Dr. Pousti is the doctor to pursue this procedure. They are always there for you and attentive to your needs and concerns. With my procedures, questions, recovery, follow-ups, etc., they all were great! I'm so thankful I found his office! I can't imagine not. I also ended up have a breast augmentation along with my tummy tuck. His outcome on the breasts he does is amazing. They all look real. That was so important to me. So, what the heck, do it all at once. The boob job was a piece of cake. Actually the tummy tuck too was fine. Healing takes time and that's what it took! But WOW!! The outcome is great. My first procedure was with the saline implant and my second was with the silicon gel implant. I knew by seeing Dr.Pousti's work that he had a way with giving a natural look to a breast augmentation. Dr.Pousti, is a complete gentleman and very knowledgeable about cosmetic procedures. Due to a small amount of body fat, my saline implants were rippling and I wanted to go up in implant size. So Dr.Pousti, recommended the silicon gel implants which I love, love, love. I no longer have rippling and they feel and look more natural. I now have the Cadillac implants as Dr. Pousti would say, and he knew what would work best for my body. His staff is excellent in every way and the surgery center was amazing!! As for the recovery the second procedure was a piece of cake and no pain involved. I am more confident in my own skin now than ever before, Thank You Dr. Pousti and staff.....

Indian Wells, CA | | Ever since my son was born I knew that I wanted breast implants. Nursing for 2 years left me with what I would call ęflapjacksę. My appearance is important to me; I worked hard to lose the pregnancy weight but was never satisfied because of my breasts.
Once the timing and money was right, I started to check out various plastic surgeons in the area. I went to preliminary consultations with 3 different doctors and was not impressed at all. They all said that I needed augmentation AND a lift, but not one actually sat down and spoke to me about any options or genuinely listened to my questions. None of the doctors I went to made me feel comfortable or at ease with the decision to have elective surgery. I was beginning to think that maybe I was being too sensitive and/or picky and that was just how plastic surgeons operated. Then I met Dr. Poustię
I was referred to Dr. Pousti through a co-worker. He did her breast augmentation 2ish years ago and she is extremely happy with the results (I didnęt even know she had implants, her breasts looked very natural.). I told her about the problems I was having with finding the right doctor and she just gave me Dr. Poustięs card and told me that my search was over. The next day I made an appointment and hoped she was right.
My consultation with Dr. Pousti was wonderful. He took the time to listen to me and I felt very comfortable with him. At first I said that I wanted a lift and augmentation (assuming the other doctors were correct) but when Pousti examined my breasts he told me that a lift would be going overboard and he wouldnęt want to give me more scars than necessary. As soon as he said that I knew I found the right doctor. He cared more about the quality of the results and what I wanted to look like then making more money through additional surgery. He even talked to me about a negative outcome from the augmentation that he wanted me to consider. Since I didnęt have much fatty tissue left in my breasts he explained to me that I would be able to feel the implant through the skin on the underside of my breasts. His honesty about the good and the bad possible outcomes just reassured even more that I had found my doctor. By the time the consultation was over I felt very informed and confident in Dr. Pousti and the procedure.
The surgery was easy; I was in and out in less than 4 hours. I donęt really remember too much for a few days following the surgery. I wasnęt in any pain, they make sure you have plenty painkillers to numb you up. I basically just slept and recuperated at my parentęs house and enjoyed the mini-vacation from motherhood. Since you are unable to do much with your arms or the rest of your upper body I highly suggest to anyone who has small children to be away from them for at least the first week. It would be impossible to care for a child in the condition you would be in and probably not very safe either. I went home the second week and I had to be very careful in everything I did. I wasnęt taking painkillers that week so everyday actions you wouldnęt expect to be painful (like bending over to give my son juice) were a problem for a few days and I had to take it easy but by the 10th day the pain had tapered off dramatically. It felt like I overdid a chest workout rather than underwent surgery.
Having breast augmentation was one of the best decisions Ięve ever made. Dr. Pousti gave me exactly what I wanted and I cannot express in words how happy I am with the results. I have always been confident in my appearance and I didnęt get the surgery to boost my self-esteem, but I was surprised on how much sexier and feminine I feel with new breasts. I found Dr Pousti while doing a search on the Internet. I visited many sites and found his to be most informative. I was amazed at the fact that I could ask the women any questions about the doctor and procedure and I actually got to touch them and see what they will feel like on me! This was unbelievable! It made me feel so comfortable already...
Then Dr. Pousti came in. I felt so comfortable with him. He was very understanding and non-pressuring. He told me that I didn't need them but I felt different. After 2 children and breastfeeding for 2 years then getting back in shape losing body fat, my once nice full boobs (36C) went from much to little (36A) and I was not happy with them. I didn't want to have to put my inserts into my 36A bra anymore. I wanted to have full beautiful breasts that I could wear anything and look fabulous. I also wanted them to look natural to fit my body. I did not want to be top heavy or look like I had a breast augmentation. I spoke to Dr. Pousti about the options I had. Silicone vs. Saline, Bigger vs. Smaller, and the incision point. Dr. Pousti had made it very clear that it was the best and most accurate method through the areola. So I agreed since he is the expert. After weighing out my options I decided to go with Saline Implants. I came into the appointment thinking that I was going to go see another doctor and then decide but after that experience I decided there was no need. I wanted Dr. Pousti to do my procedure.
I was very nervous about making the surgery appointment and it took me one month after my initial consultation to make the decision. I scheduled my appointment for Tuesday October 3rd. I was jumping off of the walls and felt like the next 3 weeks were going to take forever. I had a pre-op appointment and was able to discuss any questions or concerns. We went over size and cleavage pictures to see which ones I liked. I knew I did want more cleavage towards to middle rather then on the outer. Dr. Pousti made me feel very confident in my decision. Ultimately I left the size up to Dr. Pousti. He knew I wanted to look natural and that's all that mattered.
The day of the surgery came and I wasn't nervous more like excited. I knew I would be not working out for 2 weeks so I hit the gym hard before the surgery. When I arrived at Alvarado Surgery Center I was once again greeted with kindness. I was taken to surgery prep. The nurse was extremely kind. The Anesthesiologist was very nice also. Dr. Pousti came in and reassured me everything will be fine and then I walked to the surgery room. Seeing the surgery room was a little bit frighting with all the equipment and lights. But as soon as I saw Dr. Pousti I felt ten times better. They had me lay perfectly center on the bed and then I was talking to Dr. Pousti and then the next thing I remember was waking up really groggy in the recovery room with an enormous breasts!!!! I looked down and couldn't believe it! I had did it!!
The recovery was harder on me then most of the women I spoke with. Vanessa called me the next day to see how I was doing. I think this has something to do with me working out at the gym and me having quite a bit pectoral muscle. The recovery was very painful for me. I had a reaction the percocet so I was only able to take vicadin extra strength which didn't do much. The wunderbra I call it that you get strapped into pushes the breasts down but at the same time can be painful if you strap it too tight. My pectoral muscles were very sore and continued to be for at least 2 weeks. My incision in the areola was healing very well. Its been 2 months and you can hardly notice the scar!!!
No one ever said that something good isn't worth the pain! Sort of like childbirth!!! And both was definitely worth it!!
My advice to anyone thinking about breast augmentation is to do it for yourself not anyone else. Then you will be most happy with your outcome.

I searched for Board Certified surgeons in San Diego and found many. I had no idea how to choose the right doctor but I just kept searching. Some web sites were much more informative than others, most had before and after pictures, and of course many had horror stories. I tried to find out about pricing, but I quickly learned that most will not give you a price online- though if you give them a call and ask for a rough guess-ti-mate for a breast augmentation, most will give you a number, give or take a thousand. But for me, money was not what was most important factor, I needed to feel comfortable and informed with the important decision I was about to make. So I decided to schedule a few consultations. I started with a list of about 15-20 and ended up with 7 appointments. Some doctors charged a consult fee, which they would then apply to the surgery, which is all fine and good IF you decide to go with that doctor, all of my consults were complimentary.
I scheduled all the appointments and made a list of questions I wanted to ask. I walked into my first appointment with Dr. ęXę, the office was very fancy and I already felt like I was in a good place. The receptionist gave me some paperwork to fill out and soon enough I went in to see the doctor. An assistant came in and basically answered just about all of my questions before I even met the surgeon. He walked in and 5 minutes later I was convinced that breast augmentation was as easy, and as staight forward as- ęI need some milk, do you want skim, low fat or whole?ę He had no emotion, no care or concern, just- ęok- ready? Any more questions?ę It seemed great- easy, professional and a no nonsense operation. I almost scheduled my surgery date, then and there- thinking to myself that maybe it wasnęt such a big deal, maybe this procedure is done everyday and I shouldnęt be so worried.
Then I met Dr. Y. He has his ęown facilityę, which I had mixed feelings about. For some reason I had a weird feeling about this facility before I even stepped into the door. Side note: trust those little feelings. Thatęs part of finding the right doctor- you should trust him/her and feel comfortable. The secretary was hiding behind the counter and made no effort to even great me. I announced myself and she gave me the same paperwork I had to the first time and finally went into the exam room. By this time, I felt like a little kid waiting for the dentist to come in. The vibe was all together sketchy, and I wanted nothing to do with this place anymore. So the doctor finally walked in and within the first few minutes, he basically asked me, ęOh, youęre what a B? And you want to be a D? Ok, no problem, I make this incisionę.blah, blah, blah.ę At that point, all I wanted to do was leave.
I went on to meet other doctors and it became almost a game for me, I already knew the answers to my questions but it was fun to see how each doctor presented himself and his staff. It seemed that consultation was almost a time for the doctor to sell himself, meanwhile I was learning more and more about this entire process.
The first time I met Dr. Pousti I had already seen several doctors and almost went in there with a ęok, what makes you specialę type of attitude. From the moment I walked into the office I felt at ease. The office staff welcomed me as if I had been there 10 times before and asked me to wait just a few minutes. I took the chance to look at pictures and read others testimonials. Dr Pousti came in and we began to talk. At first I thought to myself, wow, heęs a bit too nice for me, actually caring about feelings and trying to understand why I wanted this procedure, and assuring me to ask any questions I had. But then I warmed up a bit and realized, wow, I think he is sincere, this is not just his sales pitch. Once again, trust your gut- and be honest with yourself and your doctor. I think I went to see Dr. Pousti 3 times before I even scheduled my surgery. And not because I had doubts but because I would learn new info and go back and ask Dr. Pousti and he always had an honest answer, whether it was a good or bad. There is no doubt in my mind Dr. Pousti was the best choice- obviously, 1 year later and I will still talk wonders about him and his staff.
I think the best compliment I can give him is that I would send anyone I care about- my sister, my mom, my best friend. I sent a friend of mine last month and she is still on cloud 9 with new body. I have thought about having breast augmentation ever since my little sister developed and I didnęt. My motheręs best friend had breast augmentation when I was a kid and loved it. She has had three kids since then and breast-fed all of them without ever having a complication. When I turned eighteen I decided to wait to see if I might just develop late. However, barely fitting into an A cup bra just was not going to cut it.
The last straw was when I went shopping for business casual clothing for my new office job. Instead of shopping in the misses section, I had to venture into the womenęs section for the more professional attire. I tried on nice button up blouses and sweaters but everything was so baggy around my breasts. I could not fit properly into any nice clothing. I felt so depressed and did not even want to start my new job still looking like a teenager.
Being a college student, I started to research all of my options. I tried taking the oral breast enhancers but they did not work. I was so sick of going to the store and buying nothing but water bras! Finally, I started researching breast augmentation as my last and final solution. I looked into every doctor in the San Diego and LA areas. There were so many options that I did not know where to start. I decided to read as many personal stories as I could and research all of the doctors that were reputable. After nearly a month of research, I decided to go to a few office visits.
My first office visit was rigid and expensive. The doctor made me feel uncomfortable and had very few pictures to look at. He wanted me to just book my appointment on the first visit! I visited Dr. Pousti next. I had gone to his website and seen the many photos that are posted for viewing. He had several testimonials to read as well. Being a skeptic, I tried to find something bad about him online. I could not find anything, not one poor surgery or unhappy client and he sounded to good to be true.
Dr. Poustięs office staff was the first to draw me in. All of the ladies in there are friendly and care about you. They make a point to know your name and learn about who you are as a person. I never felt judged or uncomfortable in his office. When Dr. Pousti came in, he cracked jokes with me and asked why I was there. I told him about my concerns and he told me honestly about the possible risks and complications. Furthermore, I always go to have the same office assistant. Sheshan was with me at every pre op and post op visit from start to finish and made me feel comfortable and like she was a friend.
On my very first visit, I got to meet a patient that was one-day post op. The doctor let me meet her and preceded to leave the patient and me in the room alone for me to ask her anything I wanted. I then met several other patients that were at various stages in recovery and he let me be with them alone as well. I asked the girls all of the questions I could and none could say anything negative whatsoever. The open and honest atmosphere made me feel comfortable enough to book my surgery. I scheduled my surgery for April 28, 2006, which was two days before my 21st birthday!
Every day until that day I could not stop thinking about that day. The pre op visits went well and I was able to sit and talk with the doctor about exactly what I wanted. He let me know that he does not really want to hear a size because different sizes look different on different body styles. He asked me to find pictures of the breasts and proportions of women that I liked. I went to the XXX store and got some magazines and chose the ones that I liked and had them ready for the surgery date. Dr. Pousti said that with my body style that my expectations were reasonable to go from an A to a large C. I explained what I wanted and it was like he just knew how to do it.
The surgery day took forever to come. My boyfriend (who did not want me to have the surgery but supported me anyway) drove me to the hospital. Having the surgery at a surgical suite made me feel even more comfortable knowing that if anything did go wrong, I was in great hands. The anesthesiologist sat with me before the surgery and made sure that all of my questions were answered before they began. As I went to sleep on the table, I was able to listen to music and Dr. Pousti held my hand as I closed my eyes.
I woke up later in no pain and was able to go home as soon as I wanted to. My boyfriend took great care of me for the first week. Since I had the implants placed under the pectoral muscles, my chest was sore and I needed help getting up and going to the bathroom. I had a follow up appointment a few days later and was surprised to find that I did not even have any stitches in my incision. Dr. Pousti used surgical glue to close the incision and to keep the scarring minimal. The recovery was surprisingly easy. After reading all of the testimonials that said that it was so painful, I was surprised to find that it was so easy for me. I took my medicines as prescribed and never had sever pain. I actually went to school three days later.
I cannot guarantee that these results will be the same for everyone, but I can guarantee that you cannot get anyone better than Dr. Pousti. I am so happy with my results. I am now a 34D and proud of it! My follow up visits have been nothing but pleasant and the girls in the office always remember me and ask me how I am doing. I would recommend going to Dr. Pousti for any procedure you are considering. He has the best bedside manner and is a surgeon and doctor with a personality and most importantly one who cares for his patients. My results are exactly what I asked for and I cannot say anything but great things about this fantastic doctor and his staff. I can now go out and shop wherever I want to and fit into all styles. I got a breast augmentation in late November 2006. I had been thinking about this procedure for about 5 years. I hated looking for hours for a dress or shirt or swimsuit that I liked, only to find my boobs didnęt fit in it right. I think the worst for me was when I was trying on my prom dress and even the push up bra didnęt help. I was Barely a B on a good day. Last year after spending time after time in a shop getting gorgeous dresses altered to fit me, I decided that I would go ahead and pursue ęthe dream.ę I spent about 6 months on line doing research, asking questions, all the usual stuff. I remember going into the office and being a bit apprehensive, but the second I met Dr. Pousti I knew it was the right decision. He immediately put me at ease. Everything was very real and he was very down to earth. He made me feel so comfortable. He was also a wealth of information. I had questions about recovery time, scaring, and them looking fake. I was truly amazed by the smallness of the incision. I had the procedure done under the muscle and through the areola. I expected the scar to be pretty big since we ended up going from my natural boobs to a very small D.
I also expected my boobs to look scary and bruised immediately following the surgery, but when he removed the bandages to check on them for my first check up, there was no visible bruising. Yes they were soar but visibly they just looked swollen.
Prior to recovery everybody told me what to expect, The boobs initially sit kind of high on your chest bone, the pain is like a bad bruise, but with pain meds, not a problem, and upper body movement is limited while tissue is healing. All in all not a big deal; I returned to light duty work a week later. Wearing the surgical bra for an extended period of time was more annoying than anything else, and when I got permission to take it off I did a little dance.

Wow, this is a long time in coming. As a thirty year old mother of two I was so blessed but felt so self conscious about my looks. After breasting two kids my breasts no longer existed. Lakeside, CA | | On Sept, 19, 2005, I had a breast reduction and a tummy tuck. I opted to have both done at the same time, which I'm very glad I did. 2 years before the procedure, I interviewed about 5-6 doctors in San Diego County. As I was about to make a decision, the money was not available as we had first thought. So I put my plans on hold. In July/Aug, 2005, our situation turned around, and I went back to looking for a doctor. I went back to the first doctor I interviewed. Dr. Pousti, and didn't need to look any further.
Dr. Pousti stood out above the rest for the following reasons:
1. He took time with me, as a patient.
2. He has a very easy going, mild mannered personality.......calm! (Good for a surgeon)
3. He had good credentials
4. I read his testimonials and spoke with a couple of ladies separately (outside of the office), who also
had work done by Dr. Pousti.
5. Even though I asked the doctor to do a few other little things while I was under, he told me it would
put me at risk to be under anesthesia more than 5-6 hours.

Over the years, I exercised and dieted, but was not able to lose my tummy. I had 2 children by c-section, and at age 43 had a complete hysterectomy. Even though I have good skin tone, at age 53, and because of hormone changes, I just couldn't tighten up the flabby skin from my belly through exercising and dieting. My clothes didn't fit, anymore, and I felt physically older than I was mentally. Therefore, I opted for the surgery. My biggest concern was being nauseated from the anesthesia, however, during recovery, I was given a pill to counteract that. Pain was not a concern for me, since I have a high tolerance for it.....however, because of all the exercising I had done previously through the years, there was soreness but nothing that I couldn't handle. The drains were annoying, but I wanted them left in as long as needed, to avoid any build up of fluid that might cause infection.
I had to leave one abdominal drain in for 3 weeks instead of the estimated 2 weeks. But it all worked out for the better. Now, after 5 months, post op, I can play tennis, ride my bike and work out much easier, and without the "load" in front of me. The best part is being able to button up any shirt, and have a flat stomach. I lost 10 pounds right after surgery, and now that some of the swelling is going down slowly, AND with more exercise and dieting, I expect to lose more weight and inches. My husband is soooo happy for me, and he says that I look and act so much younger than my 53 years.
Before the surgery, people were shocked at my age, but NOW, they are really shocked. They think I look 10 years younger!

My advice to anyone before a tummy tuck, is to exercise a few months or more before your surgery. You'll need to use your leg muscles and back muscles after surgery.....ESPECIALLY, if you have breast suregery at the same time. After the tummy tuck, you have to walk hunched over, and that tires your back a bit. When the drains come out, you have more freedom to shower and move around.

I went to a seminar Dr. Pousti had a couple years ago where previous patients came to speak about their experiences. However, I didn?t seriously consider undergoing surgery until about 9 months ago. I researched the risks online, read about what to expect before, during & after surgery, read testimonials on Dr. Pousti?s website and browsed the pictures. I liked what I saw and read so I scheduled my initial consultation. Dr. Pousti was always a gentleman and answered any questions I or my boy-friend had honestly. There was never any pressure to go a certain size or go with saline or silicone. I simply told Dr. Pousti what I wanted and provided him with photos, as a point of reference, to make sure we were on the same page.
On the day of surgery I remember being very anxious but excited. The waiting was the worst part because of the anticipation of undergoing surgery. I remember being escorted back to the surgery room where it was quite cold. I lay down and the surgery staff began to prep me for surgery. The anesthesia was hooked up to my IV and Dr. Pousti said, ?You?re going to feel a little sting but that?s normal?that?s just the anesthesia working.? I felt the sting and about 2 seconds later I was out cold. The next thing I remember is being stirred from my slumber. When I finally came to, I remember feeling very groggy (my eyelids were very heavy so I could barely keep my eyes open) and my legs wouldn?t stop shaking. I felt no nausea and was thankful that I didn?t. I was given something intravenously to stop the shaking and laid there for about 20 minutes until I felt ok to get up to go home. Dr. Pousti came over and told me that everything went smoothly, that I did great and that I?m going to have beautiful results. Come to find out later, the surgery itself only took about 45 minutes! My boy-friend came back to the post op area where I was resting and helped me out of the surgery clothes and into my street clothes. My chest felt very tight and I made a conscious effort not to constrict my chest muscles. The first three days of recovery were the worst because of the restrictive movement but fortunately my boy-friend was there to take care of me. Per doctor?s post op instructions I took my prescribed medication every 4-6 hours to make sure I felt minimal discomfort. All in all, the actual physical pain was minimal because I went in expecting the worst.
I am now 5 months post op and love my results. I wanted to look proportional and natural and that?s exactly what Dr. Pousti helped me to achieve. I feel more feminine & sexy, my clothes look better and shopping is certainly more fun both for me and my boy-friend. I went bra shopping for the first time after the surgery and was shocked that my cup size is as big as it is?a 34D coming from a small 34A/B. I would recommend anyone who is considering a breast augmentation to Dr. Pousti and his very capable hands. He does not charge for his consultations so you can schedule an appointment to speak with him and his staff as many times as you need to. My husband decided that new breast would be the perfect birthday/anniversary persent for me so i decided to do a little more research for the San Diego Area. I found that extremely helpful, so i called and set up an appointment for my free consultation. When i arrived at the office I felt extremely relaxed and at ease. It is a beautiful office with a beautiful and friendly staff to make you feel comfortable right from the start. During my consultation i let the doctor know of my concerns with anesthesia, scarring, nipple sensation and my diabetes. He answered all of them truthfully and even insisted i talk to a member of his staff to get the info from someone who'd actually had the procedure. Between the 2 of them all of my worries melted away and i was confident about the doctor and staff and procedure i was about to undergo. Surgery day ran smoothly. I literally went to sleep and woke up with new breast! They gave me plenty of good medications to keep the pain off and for that i was really grateful. It is so important to have someone there for you right after your surgery because most of the time you'll be out of it because of the meds. The pre-op and post op instructions don't lie, you need to follow them to a T. Don't plan on lifting anything for awhile including children all you'll do is hurt yourself and hinder your recovery. My advice is to make sure this is what you really want to do before you do it. Do your research, make sure you are comfortable with the doctor and staff. Write down your questions so you don't forget when it's time for you to ask them. I love my new breast! Before I had my surgery i was a saggy 34 A cup and after I'm a 34 C cup. They look natural and they fit my frame which is exactly what i wanted. I didn't gain any weight from them either, i am 5'2 and weighed 127lbs before surgery and i still weigh 127 lbs. I will admit though i am a little taller though, because i don't hunch over trying to hide my non-existant breast :) Dr. Pousti and his staff are great people and most of all they know what they're doing! After working hard to lose all the weight I was still left with saggy breasts, loose skin and stomach full of stretch marks. I never have to wear a padded bra ever again! My tummy is soooo flat and my breasts fit my body perfectly! I have always had full breasts from a very young age and usually tried to down-play their size. However as my 40th birthday approached I took serious stock of myself. Dieting, exercising, a pregnancy and plain ol' gravity had definitely had an impact on their size and shape. I'd been a full C cup all my life, but weight loss had caused my breasts to shrink considerably and unfortunately sag in the process.
I wanted back what I'd lost.
I found Dr. Pousti on-line, as a lark, just "looking into" cosmetic surgery. I'd kicked the possibility of surgery around for nearly a year before I started doing serious internet research. Dr. Pousti's website was amazingly informative....much more so than some of the others I'd seen. The information regarding the procedure I was curious about was stated in matter-of-fact, direct, understandable terms. It certainly allowed me to fully comprehend what I wanted to do, the risks, impact, cost....everything.
I made an appointment to see Dr. Pousti for an initial consultation for breast enhancement surgery. Dr. Pousti was able to get me in for my initial consulation right away. His staff was remarkably approachable, courteous, and friendly. But it was upon meeting Dr. Pousti that I made my decision almost before the visit was over. What a gentle, thoughtful doctor he is! It made all the difference in the world that he had all the time I needed to answer my questions and offer his expert opinion on what we needed to do to get my breasts where I wanted them to be! Within 24 hours I'd called his staff back to schedule the surgery!
My concern besides returning my breasts to their fuller shape was also "lift"....although I didn't really want to have a breast lift. Dr. Pousit was able to address this issue and I was able to not only enhance the size of my breasts but to stop them from sagging....my breasts didn't look this good when I was 25!
To be honest, I wasn't really concerned about the procedure itself. I just really had a tremendous amount of confidence in Dr. Pousti's skill and the obvious fact that he is extremely focused and detail-oriented. I had every reason to believe that he would perform a remarkable job and he did not disappoint me in the least. I was concerned about the pain factor during those first few post-operative weeks and he and his staff were very informative and supportive during this time.
The pain was pretty intense for those first couple of days (and nights)! No point in sugar-coating it....it DOES hurt! I had pain medication that was enormously effective and allowed the management of my discomfort to be curbed. I'm very proud of the fact that I was able to stop all pain medication by the fourth day post-op. My breasts looked pretty wild those first couple of weeks, but they've "settled down" quite a bit and they are indeed the full, natural looking D cup that I'd hoped for. Concerns about scarring around my nipples are alleviated every week....they're healing beautifully and fading faster than I thought they would.
My entire experience was just been such a positive one! Every post-operative office visit is such a pleasure since the girls continue to be so positive and encouraging! Dr. Pousti always comes in and sits down and speaks with me personally....he continues to cultivate his relationship with his patient long after his work in the operating room is over....it's like a familly there and it's impossible to not feel special and important.

I am a mother of a beautiful daughter and twin boys. After having my daughter, I was very lucky to bounce back into, relatively, great shape. However, after the birth of my twins, it was a totally different story. Despite losing all 58 lbs. of twin pregnancy weight and countless hours at the gym, I was left with extensive muscle damage to my abdomen causing me to look pregnant. When my twins were six months old, I was constantly asked ęWhen my baby was due?ę and instructors at the gym were always reminding the mommies in the class ęto know where your heart rate should be.ę Was she talking to me? There were no pregnant women in the class. All of the self-consciousness began to root itself deeply in my life and I became so unfamiliar with who I was. I knew I had to do something about it. I had already spent the summer totally covered up and only swimming in our pool when no one was there. I knew I didnęt want my children to grow up with that type of mom. I wanted to be a mother with confidence, one that swam with them and went to the beach and frolicked in the surf with them, not always just looking on. That just wasnęt me.
I found Dr. Poustięs wonderful website while searching the internet. I told a friend about it and was happy to find out that she and other friends had been to Dr. Pousti and that he was the wonderful man that they are always raving about. I came in for my consultation and knew right away that I had found a wonderful fit for me. The ladies in the office were warm and welcoming and Dr. Pousti was the perfect mix of professionalism, skill, kindness and confidence.
What impressed me the most about Dr. Pousti was that, not only is he an incredibly skilled surgeon, but he, personally, took the time to address my fears about my surgery and make me feel comfortable with my decision. My twins were only 10 months old when I had my surgery. I had spent many sleepless nights worrying and then at my pre-op appointment, Dr. Pousti asked me what I was most nervous about. I told Dr. Pousti that I was worried about something happening and not being there for my children. Dr. Pousti took my hand and looked me right in eyes and assured me that he would get me home to my children. I never had a sleepless night again, not even the night before my surgery. I believed him and trusted him.
I also want to add that during my decision making process, Daisy called my cell phone to follow up with me and answer any additional questions after my consultation. Poor Daisy caught me in, yet another, moment of anxiety and stayed on the phone with me for 20 minutes while I cried in the Target parking lot. I will always remember that day. I felt like I was talking one of my girlfriends and will always be grateful for her kindness and patients.
My surgery day was smooth and stress free. The process is easy and everyone at the surgery center is top notch. The anesthesiologist spent a great deal of time with my husband and me. She was wonderful and answered all of our questions. We had a last minute conversation with Dr. Pousti and then it was time for my tummy tuck. I was very excited. I was determined to stay strong and not cry. I did a great job until right before I was asleep, Dr. Pousti grabbed my hand and said ęIęll take good care of you.ę I felt a tear roll down my cheek.
Sure enough, as Dr. Pousti had promised, there I was waking up, perfectly fine and with a flat tummy. Julie from The Hideaway was there to pick me up. The surgery center communicated beautifully with Julie and it was wonderful. I spent two nights at The Hideaway. Julie and her staff were fabulous. I was very comfortable and very well taken care of. I cannot give enough thanks to Julie and her staff. Dr. Pousti came to visit both nights at the Hideaway. I remember he came at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday night. My mom and I joked, wondering if he ever slept! Those first few nights would have been rough at home for my children. The Hideaway took care of those first two days and it allowed my mom and husband to focus on the children. When I arrived home, I was full of smiles and ready to see my little one. I am thankful for those two nights at The Hideaway.

WOW! I donęt even know where to start.
So, after having kids and yo-yo dieting for the last eight years my body had been put though the ringer, so to speak. I wanted to have my pre-baby body back. Say that three times, fast! The only way for me to achieve this was with a tummy tuck, breast lift, and small implants. Exercise and diet was not helping, well maybe a little but stretched skin does not go away. My husband and I have been talking about me getting these procedures done for a couple of years. I just wanted to look as beautiful and sexy as he made me feel. So, I finally started researching doctors. I did a lot of searching online. Some of the referrals I got from friends, and some I found myself, one of which was Dr. Pousti. We went on many consultations, prior to meeting Dr. Pousti, they made me so nervous I was so worried that they would tell me I still needed to lose weight and I was already so self conscious that the last thing I needed to hear was that I should lose more weight.
He was my FINAL consultation. He is so genuine and he made me feel so comfortable, well, as comfortable as I could be with all my rolls hanging out. All the girls in the office are awesome and so welcoming, I knew when I left that this was the doctor that was going to make me look as sexy as I felt!
Dr. Pousti had one of the office girls call a patient that had just had the same exact surgery that I wanted. I was able to talk with her on the phone, which was also very helpful in making my decision. I followed her though her recovery and that was it for me, she looked absolutely amazing, and I thought, that is going to be me.
Of course, with any surgery, you have concerns, yeah this was going to be a little stressful on my body. Childbirth was no walk in the park. I was so ready to replace the excess skin with scars. It was a trade I was willing to make.
I went to the office the night before my surgery to be all marked up and ready for the BIG DAY! Thatęs fun, NOT! Having all your sagginess lifted and measured to be drawn on, very cute! It was all good, though, at this time the next day it would ALL be gone and I would be on the road to recovery. I was excited, not nervous, yet! I had been so excited leading up to my surgery that I thought I would not get scared, but the morning of my surgery a little nervousness set in, okay, a lot.
Dr. Pousti came in as calm and collected as always, checked all my markings,
assured me he would take good care of me. And, that he did! I laid down on the table and Michelle, his assistant, put some music of my choice on, Dr. Pousti was holding my hand and making sure that as I feel asleep I was in a happy place! Because at this point I could have run out of the surgical room and I think he could see that in my face. He told me to think happy thoughts and the next thing I knew I was in the recovery area and Julie from the Hideaway was there to pick me up. I strongly recommend if you can, stay 1-2 nights at her place it is the best choice I made, they cater completely to you. They showed my husband and me how to take care of everything so when we got home we would know what to do.
That evening at the Hideaway, Dr. Pousti came by to see how I was doing. I thought that was nice.
My recovery went well. I was honestly not in excruciating pain, the first few days were a little rough but I would do it all again in a minute. I think I expected the worst pain and when it was not what I thought, I was good to go. Yeah, it was uncomfortable at times but completely manageable.
I am now about 3 months post-op and feeling great! Loving my new body and my husband is pretty happy, too! If youęre still looking for a doctor, STOP, look no more, you will not find a better doctor out there, trust me, I looked.

I consider myself to be a modest woman, maybe even conservative. I might not seem like a typical candidate for breast augmentation, but it is something that I have wanted ever since I was a teenager.
I always felt self-conscious about my breast size. During high school, I was an ęAę cup. Later, I had three children and nursed each of them for twelve months. While I was nursing, I was able to experience what it would be like to have larger breasts. But by the time I finished nursing my last child, I became even more dissatisfied with my breasts, as now they were small, but also sagging! At this point, I wore a ęBę cup, but I would not buy a bra unless it was heavily padded. Going to the beach was embarrassing and I often wore a large t-shirt over my swimsuit.
This last summer, I was finally able to get down to within a few pounds of my pre-pregnancy weight. While I was excited with losing weight, I was disappointed to see that my breasts had also gotten smaller. It was the final deciding point for me.
I called my sister and asked her for Doctor Poustięs number, as she had breast augmentation done several years earlier with Dr. Pousti and her results were fantastic. As soon as I hung up the phone with her, I called Dr. Pousti and scheduled a consultation a few days later. My next step was to go to his website and check out the possibilities with the before and after pictures of real patients.
When I went to my appointment, the office staff was so friendly and cheerful that I felt comfortable discussing my hopes and concerns with them. When I met with Dr. Pousti he was very reassuring and confident. Before I left, I scheduled my surgery. Living in the Hemet/San Jacinto Valley, I was very thankful that Dr. Pousti has an office in the Murrietta/Temecula area, so that I did not have to drive all the way to San Diego (even though I would have been willing to)!
The surgery itself went well. The staff and the environment at the surgery center were also great. My recovery has been going well. I stayed home for six days after my surgery and returned to work (as a high school teacher) being careful about how much I moved my arms. I only took the ęheavy dutyę pain pills he prescribed during the first 4 ę 5 days and then I switched to over-the-counter Motrin.
I am thrilled with my results! Even though my husband has always been good about telling me how beautiful I am, now I can actually believe him. I finally have the confidence that has been lacking for a long time. I canęt wait until my four-week check-up so that I can start wearing ęrealę bras in my new size (probably a D)!!!

I had my breast augmentation surgery going on 11 months now
and couldn't be happier with the results. Ever since having my son
6 years ago, I've been wanting the procedure to not only get
back the self esteem I lost, but to also help my overall

I've never in my life been so excited to shop for clothes

One was born in 1993 and weighed 9 lb 5 0z and was 2 weeks early (he's 14 yrs old and 6'2 175 lbs now), and the other was born just April of 2007 and weighed in at 9 lb 10 oz and was almost 2 wks early as well. Whew!!! They were both Cesarean section thank goodness but that left the scar and the extreme saggy floppy belley. I'd gained 60-70 lbs with each one and had lost all the weight each time but even with diligent exercise the flabbiness was much worse even after this last pregnancy. I'd also found out that I had a pretty significant "abdominal diastasis" (Separating of the abdomen muscles) which didn't improve with many months of physical therapy and was causing me severe back and hip pain. My breasts were also extremely saggy from the normal path of pregnancy. I was beginning to feel like I didn't even want to go out anymore and sweat pants and large shirts was all I wore. Finally after saving money and deciding that getting a tummy tuck and breast augmentation with a lift was the only way to improve my self-esteem, I went on a search for the perfect plastic surgeon. One thing you need to know is that I am also a Registered Nurse and worked in the Critical Care field of Nursing for 14 years. I've seen a lot of things "gone bad" and although I was looking for an extremely skillful physician I was also very mindful of his priority with regard to patient safety. I interviewed up to 5 physician's and after careful contemplation and comparence of skill vs. surgery center/ safety issues etc.... I chose Dr. Pousti. He allowed me to speak to some of his patients via phone prior to my surgery to give me their opinion of the entire experience and all of them had nothing but good things to say. I'd also seen many patients in the office post-op and they had wonderful results. The hideaway (post-op care center) also talked "non-stop" about how "Dr. Pousti was their favorite, and that his patients did the best post operatively". They take care of other plastic surgeon's patients as well. I had another plastic surgeon's wife in the next room to me during my stay there.
So, to sum things up......... I would say that Dr. Pousti is an extremely talented and gifted surgeon who is "meticulous" in every aspect of the surgical process. He made me feel VERY safe and in competent hands even though my surgery was to be 5 hours long. Post-operatively the pain has been minimal and the incisions are beautiful. He is an artist and a GENIUS!!!! I'm only 2 weeks out of surgery and still have a large amount of swelling but can already see SUCH a difference and am beginning to fall "in love" with my body and am excited to soon be able to show it off and finally be PROUD of the way I look. I will be forever grateful for Dr. Pousti giving me my "fun-loving" self and life back.

Dr. Pousti is friendly and easy to talk to. He made me feel totally at ease and confident that I scheduled my procedure that day.
I returned for my pre-op appt about 2 weeks before my scheduled procedure to meet with Dr. Pousti to go over sizing. I had been scared by a few of my friends about going too big, but had talked to other people who's only regret was not going big enough. I was honest with Dr. Pousti telling him that my "lady lumps" were not in the same place they were when I was 20ish and that I was a non-bra wearing gal and wanted my girls to be perky again. He advised me that he could totally achieve the look that I wanted and that the first pix I chose were a little conservative - I was nervous but totally agreed. If I was going to pay for the surgery, I wanted to have results I didn't regret. Again being totally personable, he told me if I needed to see or talk to him again before my surgery, that I was more than welcome to call, email or come in again. I did converse with him again over email first, then by phone - he promptly responded.
Day of the procedure, I was extremely nervous - I had never had any type of surgery before. His staff at Alvarado was extremely nice and caring. The last thing I remember was being wheeled into the OR by a nurse, then having his anesthesiologist telling me I'd be in a happy place within 15 seconds, while Dr. Pousti held my hand, then I was out like a light My biggest fear is waking up during surgery and seeing my body cut open - UUHHGG!
Next thing I knew, I woke up in the recovery room and was automatically noticed by a nurse and asked about my pain, then given more happy drugs through my IV. After about an hour in recovery I was moved into another room and my hubby was called to come see me and I was able to return home.
That afternoon and everyday that followed, Dr. Pousti's office called my husband to make sure everything was going okay. They also scheduled for me to come in have the bandages removed. I was so surprised at how minimal the incision was - and Dr. Pousti assured me that although they weren't pretty just yet (only 3 days after), that they were going to be beautiful - and I could actually already start to see that.

Based on the initial professionalism and confidence with the entire staff, especially Dr. Pousti I decided it was time to make a decision. I had the breast augmentation a short time later and all I can say is thanks to Dr Pousti for the superior job he did in meeting my expectations. I had been considering breast implants for many years, however after three kids and many hours of exercising, I could not get rid of the loose skin in the lower abdomen. I started thinking about a ?tummy tuck? after a good friend of mine, who had already undergone the procedure, recommended it to me. As I wasn?t getting any younger, I finally made the decision to research board qualified plastic surgeons in the San Diego area. In all my research, and a consultation with another doctor in the La Jolla area, Dr. Pousti is the one who stood out the most amongst all the other Plastic Surgeons. After my consultaton with Dr. Pousti, I must say, I left his office with a pleased and comfortable feeling. He took the time to sit with me and answer any questions or concerns that I had. He allowed me to speak to his patients and ask them anything I wanted to. The patients were open to showing me their results and telling me how their procedure/recovery went. This made me feel secure about Dr. Pousti and secure in selecting him to perform these procedures on me. During my consultation, I also asked Dr. Pousti what his recommendation was for my flank area. Dr. Pousti recommended an extended tummy tuck, and explained to me why liposuction in that area would not produce the best results, however the doctor in La Jolla had recommended liposuction. Dr. Pousti explained to me his entire procedures in detail, that were involved with breast augmentation, extended tummy tuck, and liposuction. He told me everything that would take place during surgery and what to expect during recovery. After leaving his office, I knew he was the doctor for me.
I cannot express how wonderful his entire staff has been, however in being a patient of Dr. Pousti, I have had the pleasure of dealing mostly with Daisy and Vanessa. These ladies should be commended as they have both been so generous in helping me feel comfortable at every visit and during recovery. I figured once I left the hospital, I would literally be on my own, but Daisy and Vanessa would call me almost daily to see how I was progressing, how I was feeling, and if I had any questions or concerns. They always listened to me and I never felt as if they were rushing to get me off the phone. Dr. Pousti should also be commended, as he took the time to make a house visit to check up on me during my first week of recovery. He told me before surgery that he would pay me a house visit sometime during my first week, and I was literally shocked that he kept his word on that. I really appreciated him doing that for me. It reinforced to me how much he and his staff really care about their patients.
I am now six weeks out of surgery and the results are amazing, even though I still have some swelling. Dr. Pousti was able to produce the goals I envisioned. I?ve never been overweight, but I always hated the way my body looked and the way it was shaped. Now, when I look at my body, I feel as if I?m looking at someone else. I still cannot believe it?s me. I went from a B to a D cup, and the most dramatic part is that I dropped from a size 8 to a size 4! Dr. Pousti made my dream body come true! I would recommend him to anyone. Prior to having my son several years ago, I was actually very content with the size, shape and feel of my breasts; they were proportionate to my body and I felt very comfortable both in and out of clothing. However, after breast feeding, my breasts lost much of their mass and were substantially softer and smaller. Over the next several years, I struggled with the idea of having breast augmentation.
I made appointments with several reputable area surgeons?all of whom were referred by friends who already had surgery. Dr. Pousti was the last surgeon I saw and although his office was buzzing with patients and staff, he was amazingly able to tune-out the other activities and provide me with a heart-felt visit. He was extremely sensitive to my emotional fears and reservations about the procedure; he made me feel comfortable to ask any question while taking as much time necessary to make a sound decision. Dr. Pousti also had me talk with many of his patients who were in his office for post-operative visits. Dr. Pousti?s confidence as a surgeon was very clear to me when he left me alone to converse freely with his patients and see his work first-hand.
After a few more visits to the office I scheduled my surgery appointment for January 15th at 7:00am. However, three days before surgery I woke-up extremely anxious and scared. I called Dr. Pousti?s office and ShaShan answered the phone. I was panicking and asked if it was common to be uncertain before surgery? She assured me my feelings were very normal and then shared her own personal story about surgery with me. By the end of our lengthy conversation, I was calm and more confident than ever about proceeding. (Thank You ShaShan!).
The morning of my surgery I was both excited and nervous; once I arrived at the surgical center the staff immediately made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. Dr. Pousti arrived a short while later; once again he took the time to sit and have a very comforting discussion with me. Things went so smooth and quickly that, the next thing I knew I was out of surgery in the recovery room. My nurse was right there waiting for me to open my eyes and offered me some ice chips. I went home soon after and with only minimal discomfort. By day two I was off pain pills and taking over-the-counter Motrin.
I highly recommend Dr. Pousti to anyone seeking cosmetic and/or reconstructive surgery. His ability to combine medical practice with personal caring is something one must see to believe.

My friend did a lot of the research and started interviewing surgeons. One of the several surgeons she consulted with was with Dr. Pousti. One of the reasons I wanted to get breast augmentation was due to my breasts being different sizes. My left breast was a C cup and my right breast was a B cup. I was tired of my clothes not fitting well and feeling self concious. When I decided to do the surgery I also decided to get liposuction for my hips and thighs at the same time. Unfortunatley, I was blessed with my moms hips and thighs.
My friend had her surgery and she was very happy with the results. She accompanied me on the day of the surgery because I was very nervous. I told Dr. Pousti I was nervous and he immediatley put me at ease. The surgery went well and I am very happy with the results. It's nice to have a bra fit me properly and being able to fill out both cups. My clothes also fit me much better. I actually fit into a pair of jeans where the waist isn't two sizes too big.

I decided to look into plastic surgery once I had reached my goal weight. After having Gastric Bypass at the end of 2006, I had lost over 200 pounds and had a lot of extra skin. I felt as though to feel like the total process was completed that I needed to remove the extra skin that followed the loss of the extra pounds. I decided that I would need to have my arms lifted, my breast lift, breast augmentation to achieve the full look that I had prior to weight loss, tummy tuck, and a thigh lift. Since money, time, and safety are a huge concern of mine I could only get so much at one time.
I decided to have my plastic surgery performed by doctor Tom Pousti because he has a lot of experience with patients looking for body augmentation after massive weight loss. I was treated with the utmost respect during all of my visits by all the staff and doctor Pousti himself. I felt like I was entering a new family unit not just a plastic surgery center. The staff always made room for me in their appointment book. They were very flexible since I was from out-of-town. Although when I was in town there were very flexible as well. I felt truly important as I received numerous calls after my surgery from the staff at Pousti Plastic Surgery to follow up and see how I was feeling and if I had any questions or concerns. There was never a question unanswered or concern ignored.
I was most concerned about how the scarring would turn out after surgery, I was anxious to see how my arms would look, and curious as to how painful the entire process might be. I found out quite quickly that I was kept very comfortably throughout the entire process. The procedure was not painful for myself. I experience slight discomfort. With the medication that was prescribed I quickly overcame the discomfort. A couple of weeks after surgery my arms were unwrapped and it was time for the big reveal. Even with the slight swelling that I experienced my arms looked beautiful! I began to cry when I saw the finished product. The scarring along my arms and breasts have become very minimal over the last two months. Some portions of the scar appear completely healed and normal. Although some portions are still healing and I am confident that with time the scars will become less and less visible.

My surgery was September 2007. Dr. Pousti told me I did not need a breast lift. I decided on saline implants. I told Dr. Pousti I wanted to be a C cup. We decided on a range from 350 CC's to around 400 CC's. I left it into Dr. Pousti's hands on what size would be appropriate to my body type. The surgery went well. Everyone at Alvarado Hospital was gracious. I recommend you take your meds as directed and don't wait because the pain will kick in! My surgery was on a Tuesday and I switched to Motrin on Friday.
After finally seeing the results, I was so happy! My end results were a 450 implant filled to 460 on my left and 480 on my right. Dr. Pousti ended up putting more CC's than discussed but it does not matter because I think they came out perfect! Trust me, leave the work into Dr. Pousti's hands and he will make you look beautiful!

My surgery went extremely well. Dr. Pousti was with me the whole time through the morning of my surgery. I was very happy with my results/experience and decided to go larger in 2002 with Saline implants. The 2nd time around was even easier then the 1st. My incisions were near to nothing. I couldnʼt ask for a better surgeon to perform surgery on me and thatʼs why he performed my 3rd!! I am now 3 weeks post-op from a Breast Augmentation with a lift and switched to Silicone implants. After having the larger implants I decided that I wanted a little more conservative size and downsized and switched to silicone. I have always wanted to wear stylish clothes, tuck my shirt into my jeans, wear a bikini in public, but never dared because of my tummy. No matter how thin I was, no matter how many aerobics and weight training classes I tried, I always had that pouch that just wouldn?t go away. Photos were always from the neck up or from the front, never, ever from the side! Whenever I would complain people would say, ?that?s what having kids will do to you?. Well, that?s great, but I haven?t had kids ? I just look like I have! Finally, at 49 yrs old I said ?enough already, I want it gone?. I searched the web high and low, I interviewed several plastic surgeons to do my tummy tuck, but once I left Dr. Pousti?s office, I knew my search had ended. This was the one. His credentials are outstanding, his experience and talent is well documented by the numerous before and after photos and many, many positive testimonials. The friendly atmosphere in his office was warm and welcoming. Definitely not like some of the other doctors I had interviewed. Dr. Pousti did not have to brag about his talent, he showed it and let his patients talk about it. During my interview he had two of his office staff speak to me about their surgeries and they were glowing with pride! They were very happy to show off their new bodies and explain each and every detail of before and after the surgery. They were in different stages of their tummy tucks so it was very helpful. Between those gals and Dr. Pousti, I left there feeling excited and ready to go!
Once I scheduled my surgery they held my hand through the whole process. Pre-op was a breeze, the day of surgery was a blur because I was so nervous and excited. Dr. Pousti calmed me down and reassured me that all was well and I would be home before I knew it. He was right ? all was wonderful. I did take his advice and spend the first night at the Hideaway recovery center since my home was so far away. This was a blessing too! They were wonderful in taking care of me and showing my husband how to care for me and my dressings. My husband was very impressed when Dr. Pousti stopped by that night to make sure I was comfortable and doing well. I wonder how many other doctors care that much?
Every day after surgery one of the gals from the office (usually Vanessa who is wonderful!) would call to make sure I was okay and ask if I needed anything. I can honestly say that there was no pain for me at all. Discomfort of course, after all I?ve been through major surgery, but nothing I would consider pain. Dr. Pousti likes to use the Pain Q to help control the discomfort after surgery and it must have done the trick because I was able to stop my pain meds three days after surgery and probably could have sooner, but wanted to follow ?doctor?s orders? to ensure a great recovery.
Each post-op office visit was something I looked forward to. Everyone is always so friendly and excited to see the progress that I?ve made. From the first visit to my latest, they have always treated me like a friend instead of a patient. They answer all my questions without hesitation. When I would call them with a concern, their response was ?we want to see you, when can you be here?? Dr. Pousti always makes time for you, even the day before his vacation he squeezed me in because I had what turned out to be a minor concern. The after-care has been outstanding, I just can?t say enough about Dr. Pousti and his staff.
I am nine months post-op and can?t believe that it gets better every month. I finally achieved that self-confidence that I?ve always wanted. I have gained 65 pounds with both my kids. 2001 my daughter was born the weight didn't come off very fast.. When I was growing up, I was not one of the girls blessed with big boobs. I always felt self-conscience about it and started to wonder why I hadn?t developed like some girls. I guess Filipinas and Asians are not blessed with big boobs. As I got older, during high school, I started to wonder about Breast Augmentation. I began doing my research on the Internet for Board Certified Doctor?s in California when I came across Doctor Pousti?s website. Based on all of the information on his site and having not met the doctor in person, I knew I wanted him to be my surgeon. But at the time, I was not ready, so I put it aside and kept Dr. Pousti?s information.
Years later, I felt ready. I was tired of being insecure about my breasts. February 29th 2008, I scheduled my consultation at the La Mesa office. I can still remember how nervous I was walking in the office. The person at the front desk greeted me with a smile and in a professional manner. I filled out the necessary paperwork and waited till I was ready to be seen. I was then called and brought to a room. I met with Daisy, one of Dr. Pousti?s assistants, who was very informative, helpful, and made me feel comfortable. We talked about my desired look I wanted to achieve as well as my concerns. We looked over some before and after photos and I showed her some photos from a magazine of what I liked. I was finally able to meet Dr. Pousti, who was very kind, calm, and knowledgeable. I could not believe I was actually meeting with a surgeon. He examined me, talked about my desired look, I asked my questions, showed him photos of my dream boobs, and listened to his suggestions. After having my consult with Dr. Pousti, I trusted his work and experience. I left that day with my surgery scheduled for April 15, 2008.
March 31, 2008, I had scheduled a 2nd consultation because I was unsure of my decisions with getting Silicone vs. Saline and the incision placement. Dr. Pousti recommended that I go with Saline implants with the areola incision instead of crease. He had advised me that due to my nationality and skin type, I was prone to getting keloid scar and with an areola incision it would heal up better. My big concern with getting Saline was the ripples and the unnatural feel. Because I wanted the natural look and feel, I decided to go with Silicone. I took the chance of getting keloid scars and went with crease incision. Also since I have small areolas, I had no choice but to go with the crease incision anyway. As far as the size goes, I really didn?t know what size CC?s I wanted, so I told Dr. Pousti I wanted a natural C cup. I trusted him with the cc amount. I was happy with my choice and knew I made the right decisions and trusted my doctor.
The weeks, days, and night before the surgery, I was full of mixed emotions. I wondered if I was making the right decision, if I really wanted to do this, if I was able to handle all the ups and downs that came along with surgery, and thinking about what people would think. I knew I really wanted this, but I had cold feet.
Day of surgery, April 15th, I woke up early in the morning, got ready, took a shower, brush my teeth, made sure I didn?t drink anything. My husband drove and I remember the ride to the hospital being quiet with just a few short conversations because we were both anxious that it was already the day of surgery. When we got to Alvarado Hospital, I met Mike, the RN, who prepared me for surgery. He was very nice. He made me really comfortable and even gave me heated blankets while I was waiting to meet with the Anesthesiologist and Dr. Pousti. I want to say THANK YOU to all the Alvarado staff that helped out with my surgery! They were all very sweet and caring.
Right before surgery, I saw Dr. Pousti. He made his markings and made sure we were both on the same page. At that point, I was very nervous! I couldn?t believe this was it and no more turning back. It was time to say, ?See you later!? to my husband, and I gave him a big hug and a kiss. They brought me to the surgery room and next thing I knew, I was waking up to my new, BIG boobs! I remember mumbling, ?That?s it, and it?s over, that was fast!? The whole thing was only an hour and a half. The first 3 days were a blur. My husband took care of me and was the one who fed me, gave me my medicine, and helped me walk to the bathroom. I remember waking up because of being uncomfortable, taking my meds, and eating. Like I said, it was a blur. I slept for the first 3 days. The 4th day, I was feeling much better. I had a Post-op appointment with Dr. Pousti and I was able to see my boobs. To say that I was very happy with the results would be an understatement. Words can?t describe how I felt. Dr. Pousti did such an amazing job!
It has been 9 months now and I am so happy with my surgery. I had a wonderful recovery that went very smoothly. I am so happy with the decisions I made. I don?t regret anything at all. The BA has increased my confidence; I am able to wear clothes that I was not able to before. At 9 months, my boobs are soft, look, feel almost like real breast. The crease is healing up very nicely. I have 375CC?s Mentor Silicone, under the muscle, I fit a 32D bra. I love my boobs!

phoenix, AZ | | I want to make this more of a thank you letter than just a testimonial. I had struggled for about 12 years with the embarrassment and sometimes shame of my chest (or lack thereof). Throughout high school I had figured out that I was not going to be your average-chested woman, and getting to college only enhanced my apprehension for wearing anything that didn't go with a VERY padded bra. I am a type A and have always done lots of research on decisions I am making, and after reading hours and hours of information on breasts, breast size, augmentation, and procedures, I discovered I had what is known as a "tuberous" deformity to my breasts. Not only were they smaller than even an A-cup, they also did not look like any other breasts I had seen. I researched surgeons who had experience with this type of surgery and found Dr. Pousti. While the usual fix for this is quite invasive, Dr. Pousti recommended that I could get a very good result with just a properly placed silicone implant. I was relieved but still had a tiny bit of doubt this would give me normal looking breasts. The confidence and compassion of the Dr. and his staff reassured me though, and I felt I was making the right decision taking this advice. I brought in a couple pictures I found on the internet, and pointed out 1 in his book of sizes I thought would be proportionate with my body, and left it up to him to decide on the size (CCs) of the implant. After the initial shock of going from an A-minus to something that would fill out a bra beautifully, I could have not asked for a more perfect size and shape, especially given what I had before. I am so glad I didn't get hung up on CCs and cup sizes, but was able to discuss what was important - how they would look on me. I went under the muscle, and while it did take longer for me to completely ?settle?, now - 9 months later - I cannot adequately express how happy I am with my result. I have the confidence now to wear whatever I want, buy bathing suits without doubling the padding, and for the first time feel sexy and comfortable in my body. What some might see as an extravagant and excessive procedure has completely turned my self-esteem around. The experience I had, and the results I have, are priceless. Dr. Pousti and his staff are wonderful and I would recommend them to anyone considering breast surgery, whether it be for a straight augmentation or a more specialized request like mine. I can't believe it's been 8 months since I had my breast augmentation and I am finally sitting down to thank you. As you may recall, I was so incredibly scared to have this procedure done. For many years I had thought about having it done, but was too scared of the pain and possible complications. I was never happy with my original size but after breastfeeding 3 children, my breasts looked worse than ever. Every morning I would get so frustrated getting dressed because nothing ever looked right. My shirts were never filled out to make them look good and my confidence level was at an all time low. I finally found the courage to research doctors and the procedure and made the appointment to meet you. Everything I read and saw online about you was incredible - it almost sounded too good to be true.
After meeting with you - I saw that everything I read was 100% accurate. Your staff was so knowledgeable and caring and made me feel so at ease at that first consultation. I was even more impressed after meeting you. You answered every question and was very sensitive to my concerns and scared feelings. After leaving my consultation, I told my husband that I had no desire to meet another doctor because I really didn't think I could find anywhere else I would feel as comfortable.
My biggest hestitation came with not really knowing what size I was going to be. Many other people I knew that had this surgery all knew before going in what cc's they would be getting. Your method is so different in that you just wanted me to bring in pictures of what I thought was the body proportion I wanted. I brought my pictures in to the pre op appointment and knew I was going to trust your judgement 100%.
Surgery day came and I was more nervous than ever but I was ready. The staff at the surgery center was incredible. As you had indicated to me at one of my appointments, everyone of your staff is top notch or they wouldn't be working for you. The nurses at the surgery center were incredibly sensitive and evern reassured me that the right size would be picked out for me. Everything ran right on time and before you know it I was on my way home. I was waiting for the horrible pain to kick in but it never did. I took the percocet for 3 days and then switched to Advil and felt good. The hardest thing for me was not being able to lift my arms during my recovery. A week after the surgery I was back to my normal schedule, still a bit slow but every day it got easier and easier. I could not get over the fact how easy my recovery was. Had I known how easy it was going to be, I probably would have had this surgery done a long time ago.
As I mentioned before, it's now been 8 months since my surgery and I could not be happier with the way that I look. My scars have healed better than I ever expected -in fact I barely even know they are they are there. Your precision in identifying what size I wanted to be was superb. I was afraid of looking too big and looking unproportionate but you were right on in your choice of cc's. I have never been happier with how my body looks - it has given me more confidence than I have ever had in my life. I enjoy getting dressed every morning and enjoy shopping - which is something I was dreaded prior to my surgery. Now, I have trouble shopping because everything fits and looks good - instead of walking out of the dressing room with nothing, I have to decide which items look the best! Not a bad problem to have.
Five months after surgery, my husband and I took a trip to Mexico. This was my first time in a bathing suit since the surgery and boy was bathing suit shopping fun for once in my life. I looked and felt great. I had always been so self conscious in a bathing suit but now I couldn't wait to wear one. I can't wait for summer to begin when I can wear my bathing suit more as well as all of those cute summer tops that I have longed to wear for years!

Breast feeding certainly took its toll. And both births were via C-section, so no amount of exercise was giving me the flat tummy I really wanted.

They pateintly answered all of my questions (some of them repeated several times :), allowed me to meet with others who recently underwent surgery, and guided me on what types of surgical procedures would benefit me most.
