Educational Background
Dr. Mofid received his undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Harvard University. He completed his medical degree at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine where he also completed his training in plastic surgery. He has authored numerous publications on breast surgery and facial surgery and has presented his work at many international scientific conferences.
In addition to a busy aesthetic surgery practice, he maintains an active interest in reconstructive surgery, including breast reconstruction following mastectomy, repair of facial injuries from trauma, and microsurgery. He presently serves on the clinical faculty of the University of California, San Diego. He is a staff surgeon at several area hospitals including the Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, and Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
